I have had the pleasure of staying in the Pagasus for three weeks in 2009 and again for two weeks in 2012. The upgrade of the rooms is a welcome surprise, but the friendliness of the staff has not changed, it is still amazing.

The hotel is far from the main city and attched to a beach. Location is just excellent. Condition of the rooms can be improved marginally but very good value for money. Food is problem for vegeterian people. but for non-vergeterians, its a feast everyday. they also have live - soft music every day. Very good location for leisure and especially...

Though this is a 4 star hotel it is very isolated and far from anyhing of any interest. The room given to us on arrival was a twin(112) . We immediately asked for a double and one was allocated within a few minutes just down the hall from the first one. On entering this room (116) it smelt a little...

We ended up the Pegasus Reef by accident - we were booked in the Ramada Columbo however when we arrived, we had no room courtesy of a fault with their air conditioning system. We were instead taken here; please be aware this is no way near the centre of Columbo, and courtesy of the horrendous traffic it is a good...

Me and a friend stayed at PRH for one week in March 2012. We could not fault the attention we received, the food, the service, the pool guys and everything. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is spotlessly clean and every member of staff worked hard to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Particular mention to...

We know a 4-stars hotel in Sri Lanka is not the same as an equal rated one in the West, but what we experienced was a total disappointment. It started at the reception. The staff was really arrogant (was it because we came in, dressed in shorts and T-shirt??). We received the key for room nr 131, a rather small...

Clean hotel, good value for money, on the beach. The staff were very obliging and it is not as pricey as other hotels in Sri Lanka. True, they could make more of the beachfront, but it isn't that nice a beach compared with others on the South coast.
There was a good variety of food, and it was all covered...

I totally agree with one of the previous reviewers, its a waste of a beautiful beach property. Location is really good, but the hotel looks old & not maintained. Went for a day outing as all the other hotels were overbooked. The room was small & the bed was too small for 2 people to sleep comfortably (They may have...
