Have eaten here many times and it has always been just OK, but this time I took family with us. The restaurant was empty as it was early, there was 7 of us so we could be spending £100+. One of the family wanted a baguette which is on the bar menu, not the restaurant menu and because of this... More

We are sorry you felt disappointed with our decision but we do have two menus in place for a reason. The table in the bar area was more than ample for the size of your party. Rules are set in place for very good reason and we feel that our system works well for us. There were large tables available... More

Had the Sunday Roast today, the meal was good Meat well cooked, beef could of been a wee it pinker but still nice, veg were plentiful but slightly too cooked. We have been here several times and with the inside play area it's great, it's a pity some parents can't see the mayhem there kids cause running in the bar... More

We came on a quiet monday night with our family, teenagers, toddlers and babies, for my partners 40th. There was plenty to do for the children whatever age too, when waiting for a meal can be slightly tedious with little ones, this evening was easy and relaxed. Computer games and pool tables for the big ones, and a big soft... More

Just eaten at the Whitehouse, extensive menu, good value, awesome food. Staff friendly - overall a very pleasant visit. Have eaten a few times at this place and each time has been as good, am struggling to understand the couple of poor reviews.

We have been going in the Whitehouse for about 18years. We went in religiously when we were down on holiday. The welcome and facilities they give for families and young people are second to none. The play areas inside and out are free of charge which in Cornwall is very unusual. The kids drinks and meals aren't a rip off... More

Stayed at The Whitehouse for a friends birthday, the bar was well stocked (yay!), and staff were approachable, friendly and polite. The rooms we had were immaculate, had ample facilities and the whole process was stress free, which is what we needed. Breakfast was great and definitely cured our hangovers! The band on the Saturday night was great, and our... More

Would have liked a slightly more constructive review as this doesn't really help us to improve anything. More

We went here for lunch and ordered the rib-eye steak which came with all the trimmings but the big thing was it was served with proper chips instead of the normal frozen chips that lots of places serve. Everything was really well presented and it tasted great. We look forward to returning again shortly especially for the great chips. We... More

I had stayed at this Inn previously on business but liked it so much that I decided to use it for a short break in Cornwall. Ideally situated, we were able to reach most of the well known touristy sites very easily. Everything was good - even though we seemed to be the only people in the dining room -... More
