Just back from a week at the Alykanas Village and absolutely loved it! Great resort for kids, lots of pools and right on the beach. Hotel Staff and reps were fantastic with lots of daytime and evening entertainment to suit all ages. The weather was hit and miss but thats not ususual for the time of year, saw some amazing... more

Well what can I say????................. This was the best holiday we've had for a good few years. The hotel was spotless, the staff very friendly and very accomodating, the apartments were very good. The location was second to none, right on the beach with a choice of four swimming pools!!!! The Thomson team were absolutely fantastic - and the entertainments... more

The best part of it is the location, right near the beach. The rooms are spacious, kitchenette and bathroom functional and in good condition. Very clean and well-looked after. Plenty of free sunbeds near the pools and along the beach. The mini market has a limited selection of items but there are plenty of other shops in the village, but... more

We chose this hotel due to the child friendly factor, having a three year old. The hotel was clean and the location(on the beach) was excellent. The horse and carts rides outside the hotel a must. Alykanas town itself is scruffy and has an unloved feel about it, which brings me to the dog problem. There are stray dogs everywhere,... more

This was the first time we had been to Zakynthos, having booked in January after reading the many good reviews about the Alykanas village, and we were not let down at all. We were a little concerned the weather wouldn't be good especially after hearing about the storms in the 2 weeks prior to us arriving, but in the 2... more

we went to zante in october, and stayed at the alykanas village resort. the hotel was nice, but the balconys to the apartments FLOOD!. As we later found out! we had really bad storms and torrential rain for 5 days, it was so bad the umberellas broke, and the sunbeds were in the pool. Everywhere is closing down too in... more

Just returned from the village, had a two week stay and enjoyed every minute! After an easy transfer of around half an hour we were allocated our room (i'd emailed gloria ahead asking if there was any chance of a sea view) an we weren't disappointed!! i booked a theme room (123) just for the fact it was cheaper and... more

I think this is one of the best super family hotels there are and we have been to quite a few. The kids reps are so friendly my little girl loved them especially Hannah Montana. At 8.30 every nite there is a mini kids disco with Thomson the Dog which is a must !!! Have to visit the Lemon Tree... more

Being aware that this was a family hotel we expected a certain amount of noise, although mostly during the day, so we used the hotel as a base and ventured along the beach to quieter areas. We walked into Alykes via the small river, which was lovely, and returned along the beach. Loved the carriage rides. Must eat at Levantes,... more

the 'entertainment' round the main pool was way too loud. Its by far the bigger pool and you can't always get a bed at the smaller one by the beach. A word on the beach, its a very thin strip of sand.... although the sea itself was very shallow for quite some way. I also agree that there is little... more
