We visited in September we had a swim up room and a double room for our older children. We requested close rooms and they were just over the road from each other which was fine. The swim up room - has a tiny fridge, great view of pools, but beware the patio is VERY slippy we all went over at least once, we resorted to using the towels so we didn't slip anymore, the bathroom in the swimmup room got soaked after a shower meaning unless you wanted to stand in your shower water you couldn't get ready in the bathroom, the double room has a full size fridge and a nice view. Both rooms spacious. We ate at the snack bar on the first day, pizzas are lovely... now drinks... it's 4 euro for a Diet Coke! So we resorted to nipping to the shop on site and buying 6 cans for 6 euros and putting them in our tiny fridge! We had 4 children so 16euro for there drinks or 6 euro for the same amount and 2 extra cans made sense, the beach is great. We got to see baby turtles making there way to the sea. Lots of bars around but not much for children, odd trampoline in the odd bar but no child entertainment anywhere, hotel has no entertainment. I did see comments saying one of the pools should be 'adult only' when you book this do you not see the child's little waterpark (of which is 3 little slides and a splash pool) if you wanted a adult only holiday then book one! Not one with a KID waterpark. Breakfast was poor but edible. I lived on toast for breakfast. Bacon is warm pieces of ham, beans and eggs were cold all week. Staff looked miserable and never interacted with the kids, we had a day trip to Zante waterpark which was good. Organised by Angela who owns the little shop over from the spar, she was great. I wouldn't return just as there's not much for the kids but we had a lovely relaxing week.

I love this hotel, when we arrived we were greeted with a friendly smile, we were given room 421, facing the pool and with a bit of an ocean view, room is big, we have one double and 2 single beds, good sized fridge, plenty of rooms for drinks and even an ice compartment which was very helpful! We tried the breakfast on site that was included, it was okay nothing fancy, but it has the basics cereals, toast, meats, fruits, eggs, mushrooms, beans, mini Frank furter style sausages and "bacon" there were also pastries and juice/tea and coffee The beach was the best part for me, there are sun beds on the grass 2 with an umbrella for €10 definitely worth it! We did find however that people were waking at up ridiculous hours to reserve beds at the main pool infront of the sea, however we preferred the other sun beds as there were alot comfier Maids came in everyday with fresh towels and bedding and emptied the bins. The rest of the staff around the complex were so friendly and helpful, thank you all :) tax was 42 euros for 2 weeks and the safety deposit box was 40 definitely worth it! We will 100000% be back here!

We arrived in August for 11 nights as a family of four (7 year old and 13 years old sons). We have no complaints whatsoever. The breakfast was fine and what you would expect on any self-catering holiday. Fruit, cheese, ham, cereal, pastries and hot option like bacon, sausage, eggs etc. We usually went for breakfast at 9am but there was never an issue getting a table. People did reserve sun beds but we always managed to find four. There are signs that says not to reserve or towels will be removed but this never happened. The pool at the front of the beach was always the busiest. Our room was fine. Spacious and was cleaned daily. Beds are hard but thats good for my bad back. Bathroom is a little tired looking. Our room was opposite a pool. We were lucking enough to be able to leave patio doors open and stocked the fridge with beer, water and juice and if we wanted a drink one of our kids would quickly hop over the balcony to get the drinks :-) The beach is lovely. Nice soft sand, sea is calm and warm and you can walk out for miles. All the bars and restaurants are less than a 5 minute walk. A Mythos is 4 Euros in pretty much all the bars. We ate out every night and we are not big eaters so would normally just have a main, couple beers and couple milkshakes for the kids and it’s about 60-75 Euros in most places. It wasn’t an issue for us but there were no daytime or evening activities. We would not visit again as we like somewhere new each year but would definitely recommend the hotel.

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday at Alykanas Village. I was travelling with my husband, two children and my mother. I had emailed the hotel beforehand to request adjacent room and the hotel arranged this. We were in the one of the older blocks on the top floor and had the standard rooms that slept up to four people. The rooms were spacious and clean with lovely pool and sea views from the balcony. The bathroom in my room was tiny and it was impossible not to soak the floor when showering but the bathroom in my Mum's room was larger and much better so perhaps it's just luck of the draw? The pool areas were lovely and everywhere was well maintained, the waterpark and proximity to the beach were a real added bonus. Breakfast was fine, something for everyone. It did get quite hot in there and very busy if you went after 9am. The hotel staff were all very friendly, particularly the reception team and maids. We ended up being delayed by a day due to the air traffic control issues in the UK, Mary and the gentleman on reception (sorry - forgotten his name) were so helpful and although we couldn't keep out room on, they arranged for another room for us for the night. All I would say is that the room we were allocated for our extra night was not up to the same standard as the ones we had just vacated. It was a two bedroom apartment on the ground floor and was quite dark and gloomy. Only had a balcony in one bedroom and couldn't open the shutters or window in the other. It was only one night though and we were so grateful that we weren't stuck at the airport that it didn't matter, but I wouldn't have liked to have been in this room for the whole holiday! On the whole this was a great hotel in a perfect location and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

Stayed in the two bedroom accommodation in what must have been the older block. I was a bit dated but clean, functional, spacious, loads of storage, and strong AC! Didn't have a problem with the beds. Shower seems to be positioned to spray all over the floor which wasn't idea but easily dried up with bath mat and as so hot dried out quickly. Nice spacious balcony overlooking pool. Loads of choices for pools. Found the main area got a bit noisier depending on the clientelle but generally fine although the bagging a sunbed at dawn mentality was in force unfortunately. The pool next to the restaurant usually seemed a bit quieter and more likely to get a sunbed mid afternoon etc. My son enjoyed the waterpark. Note this is just for kids up to 12 years old. The hotel backs right onto the beach which was lovely. Shallow, sandy, warm. Lots of fish around the harbour where you could also see the resident turtle. Only spoiled by the noisy jet skis and boats but they didn't run all day. Water was generally really calm so we were able to use our SUP a lot. Breakfast was good. Everything you could ask for including Greek desserts. Also ate at the pool bar for lunch which seems reasonable. Location of hotel on beach is fab and also good for the restaurants and shops in Alykanas. We also walked to Alykes several nights along the river which didn't take long. And got a horse and cart ride back which was probably the highlight of my sons holiday! Would stay there again.

We did bed and breakfast and the breakfast was lovely!! Had everything we needed!! Staff everywhere were so nice!! Lovely friendly people!! The pools were great as was the splash park!! You could always get sunbeds around the new pool!! We were a group of 8 and never struggled!! The beach was the best bit!! It’s stunning!! Lovely calm sea!! Fun water sports along the beach too and boat hire!! Also go to the small harbour to see the turtles every morning!! It’s in a great location with brilliant bars and restaurants on the doorstep!! I would definitely recommend this area of Zante and this hotel!!

Having read some of the reviews for this hotel, we were unsure of what we would find. However, this hotel is a great place for a family holiday! Fantastic location right on possibly the best beach on the island. Lovely sandy beach with shallow water and we could walk along and see turtles feeding from the fishing boats. Plenty of beach activities and not too crowded even at the end of July. Great choice of pools which were lovely and clean with plenty of sun beds and shallow areas for the small children (we didn’t find the children too noisy at all). Lovely well kept gardens all around the hotel. The snack bar served very good lunches at reasonable prices although they could definitely do with more staff at busy times. The breakfast was adequate and provided a good choice. Our room was basic but clean and spacious with good bed linen, comfy beds, shady veranda, fluffy towels & quiet air con. The only big disappointment was the bathroom which definitely needed an upgrade. We found all the staff at the hotel very friendly and helpful. Plenty of good local restaurants to eat & can particularly recommend The Lemon Tree and Nairaida. My family (including my 5 year old grandson) had a wonderful holiday here and we’d all love to return another year.

I want to start this review by saying we had an amazing time. The seaside next to the hotel is wonderful, we had beautiful weather and overall enjoyed our stay. We will consider coming again in the future! Having said that, I need to add some points that others might find useful. Perhaps even the hotel staff might read this and use it to improve their service. I will start with the good things: - food was decent - I don't know what others are complaining about, you have a variety of foods to choose from and while they are not michellin restaurant quality, I found most of them to be very tasty. Dinner is mostly different every night but breakfast is mostly the same. Unfortunately, there weren't any infant friendly options - clean pools, free sunbeds - amazing beach and sea - the water is very clear and mostly calm, pretty shallow at first for those who have children, up to the neck until about 50 m from the beach. You have a variety of sea sport rentals in the vicinity. Some fish and hermit crabs but not too many life activity. Very little algae. Beach has soft sand and patches of small rocks here and there. - mini market on premise - you can find a lot of things here, from inflatables, to souvenirs, to water and snacks - even if it's a bit on the more expensive side - facilities for small children - like a dry playground, and small pools with wet slides - very spacious rooms (at least the one assigned to us) - staff very friendly and helpful - good aircon Now for the things that can be improved: - mosquitoes! There were so many of them in the room, we were absolutely shocked. Luckily the store close by sells anti mosquitoe sprays. I think some insect screens for the rooms would do some wonders. - somewhat related to the point above, our room was a little dirty. Spots of mold in the corners of the room, and swatted mosquitoes everywhere on the walls. - the soap and shower gel dispensers were empty when we arrived, and were only refilled when we mentioned it to the staff - because there is noone supervising the pools, the "pool rules" are at most recommendations, and everyone who wanted to dive in the pool could do so, splashing anyone around them. - there are some stone sidewalks that get wet very often (especially around the pool showers), and they can get really slippery. Also, these puddles attract all sort of insects, including wasps and hornets. These were far enough from the pool though to not be a problem These are the things that are not in the hotel's power to improve: - lack of sidewalks, narrow streets in the area - sometimes it felt a bit unsafe to walk around - loud music from the bar across the "street" - sometimes they had music nights which lasted from 22:00 until 00:00, this can be heard from your room (though if tired enough you'll be able to sleep over it). - loud and inconsiderate guests (I always thought the complaints about these guests from a certain origin that come here in droves were exaggerated, but I can tell you now that they are not).

Just stayed here for 10 days, had a swim up family suite in the new block. Room was lovely, fairly spacious & nice to have a sofa for somewhere to sit. Room had a decent size bathroom with a walk in shower. All very nicely decorated. We only used the pool area in the new block on a day, pool area was spacious & plenty of sunbeds. View from here was lush, lovely to be right by the sea. Splash pad was good & play area good, for smaller children. We were B&B, the breakfast was ok, loads of choice which was good, my personal opinion was that the bacon looked awful as did most of the cooked stuff, but as i said plenty of other choice. Snack bar was ok to for lunch. Hotel is in a great location by the beach & not far from the main strip. Re booked for next year

Just back from 10 days at this hotel. If you have children then the choice of pools is very good (though with all the choice was surprised for a 4 star there were no pool towels) and the fact it’s on the beach and near plenty of restaurants is another plus. BUT this is not a 4 star hotel, I’ve never been anywhere were I’ve had to set my own table every morning at breakfast and even though I didn’t go down every day for it, a couple of times there weren’t any knives. I found the choices at breakfast very difficult as there seemed plenty of choice but when you looked there really wasn’t. The pool bar was very good plenty of choice and perfectly done. And the terrace and bar in the hotel was very good. Rooms ok not a bad size, beds were hard but agin we had no problem. But our bathroom (211) was absolutely the PITS . Very small, from the end of the shower screen to the sink it was a gap of about 2ft so really difficult getting in and out of this gap. Not wanting to pay an extra £600 for a room with a shower we stuck with having one over the bath. But why would you have the shower on the long wall facing the bathroom door so you either flooded the floor and i do mean flooded even with 4 towels down or you angled the shower head so it faced the narrowest part of the bath which had a metal bar across from the screen to the wall this was bad enough for me BUT for my 6ft 3, broad partner this was a no go. So for the whole 10 days he had no shower apart from those near the pool near the beach. Would I go again definitely not, but if you take go expecting a basic 3 star you at least won’t be disappointed.
