After a very busy year we thought we would take a late break to recharge our batteries at The Golden Beach Hotel - we came away £550 each lighter and more stressed that when we went!. We have been to Koukounaries Skiathos five times,and stayed at various different properties,The Golden Beach Hotel was therefore familiar to us. From the outside,the bar/pool area and restaurant being very presentable however,the accomodation told a different story. hi.the reason i put above average is cos its the value for the price you pay....golden beach is situated 5mins or less from the kudacanaries beach which incidently is ranked the 7th best beach on earth.its easy to see why..its beautiful,wth plenty of activities but not over done.the great ting about dis hotel is that there are so many less... more

The location is great - close to beach and on bus route. The rooms are basic but adequate. Breakfast, as mentioned by others, was weary - very little variety - ham, cheese, hard-boiled egg, stale bread, corn flakes or cocopops,. The room was very very basic but had a nice balcony, the bathroom definitly needed a makeover, the hotel is in a good location with nice beaches nearby and you dont have the crowds like in Skiathos town so good for a relaxing holiday. As for the staff i didnt find them friendly at all apart from the girl working... more

Very basic hotel. No luxury whatsoever. Dont let this put you off if you are use to just very very basic hotels then this will be perfect for you. The staff are extremely friendly and you will enjoy their company late at night at the bar ! Very good location near to very good beaches. Be aware you must pay... more
