The hotel is 4 star hotel, but still nice furnished. Little bit rustic style. Location in beautifull. Breakfast is quite good. There was enough food, but I didn´t like that birds could fly inside the room. Beach is really good. The stuff were really friendly and they organized a private trip to La Digue at a short notice

Hotel closed for renovation until March of next year. This means you get the excellent beach and cove to yourself, but must enter by sea (we snorkeled there from our lodging just up the bend at La Saline.

BEWARE - Staff in this hotel steal guests belongings. We came here as part of a tour party and staff stole my wife's belongings during lunch. We approached management and asked for help, they simply ignored us.

Oh dear :( We stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon after a fantastic hotel stay and wedding on La Digue, hoping that we would find a fantastic luxury hotel experience for such a special occasion. I'm sure this hotel was 'luxury' once, but it's now all looking a little tired. The package we booked advertised an 'In room welcome with delicacies' which we did not receive. It also advertised a 'Special Honeymoon dinner' which we had to go to reception to ask for, as none of the staff mentioned it. None of this made us feel very special. The room was spatious and the bathroom area very nice. However, the air conditioning unit was very old and loud, it could not be left on at night as you would not get any sleep! The wi-fi was terrible and hardly ever worked. The bed was very hard and quite uncomfortable. The pillows were awful, they looked and felt very old. There was no bedside table on one side of the bed, so we had to use a make shift chair! The food was all buffet style. It was mostly decent food, but I would not expect a buffet at such an expensive hotel. The wine also seemed very expensive and over-priced for the quality. All in all, we found the hotel very expensive considering the quality. Some of the staff were quite surly and in general we did not find it a friendly place to be. Even the Curieuse snorkelling trip offered by reception seemed very overpriced for what we received. We were taken to Island and dumped on the beach with no offer of any instructions or information about the island at all. As this was our honeymoon we were sadly quite disappointed.

We stayed in a different hotel each night of our honeymoon, and this was probably the most unique (in a good way) stay of them all. The mountains feel close enough to grab, there's snorkeling right on the property, and the design of the rooms all feel like you're living in the middle of the jungle. The food was great, and staff was very kind. My only complaint is that the beds were not comfortable.

My wife and me come to praslin, Le Domaine de La Reserve for a 3 night stay after leaving mahe and Constance Ephelia. We where given a room with a nice seaview on the first floor to the left of the dining pier. Unfortunately the people dining had full display into our room so we had to leave the curtains closed on mornings / evenings so we could not enjoy the view from our room We adressed this issue with the reception staff, but were curtly told they had no other rooms available. However the main issure with our room was the incredible hard and uncomfortable double bed. We both had trouble sleeping and our backs acked come morning. We adressed this issue with the reception staff our first morning before breakfast and where told that all their beds in the property where hard. Their only option where to put duvets ontop of the madrass to make it softer. We accepted to try this and where told they would make the change during room cleaning. We then went to breakfast service that where understaffed, severly limited food/drink options and birds where roaming the displayed food buffet nipping bread and other items. We spent the day by the pool. Only a few sun loungers are scattered around the enourmus pool and only one third of them has cussions placed on the metal lounges. We found this very strange since people coming by mid day had to lounge on hard metal sun beds. We went on to have lunch and went back to our room that had been cleaned, however nothing was done to the bed. I contacted the receiption staff again and they said the would make the change at turn down. At 22:00 in the evening there was still no turndown and no change to the bed. I again contacted the receiption staff and they finally sent someone over to our room that put two duvets ontop of our hard madrass. The change had no effect to the comfort and softness of the bed.. After two nights of bad sleep we decided to check out of the hotel, 1 day earlyer than intended. We booked a room at Le Duc downt the road. The experience with our room, breakfast service and curt staff bevahiour combined made our decition to leave the hotel, even tho we payed for 1 additional night. We had payed aproximatly the same price pr night as we did to ephilia and the experience there was far better on every level with regards to dining, food, beaches, pools and staff friendliness. When we at mid day on our second they at the hotel had packed our bags and showed up at the reception to check out and explained our reason for checking out 1 day earlyer i feel that the staff listen and where sorry for our predicament. The manager was brought in and even though i said i didnt expect a refund for our last night, the manager assured us we would receive this by initating the refund through our booking agent. I felt this was generous and atleast they tried to remedy our unfortunate situation. We went on to 1 night at Le Duc and had a wonderfull experience. The change in bed was really remarkable for our sleep and we both slept in 10 hours to recover. The morning after i contacted our booking agent that came back to us and said that the refund had to be handled by the hotel. I then sent an email back to the hotel with the booking agent response. The response received from the hotel was 'There is no refund for under stay.' I wrote back regarding the assurance from the manager. But no reply in return since 6 days. I now have no faith that the refund of our last night as promised will be honored. Luckily our remaing stays at le duc and domaine de l'orangerie made us forget our experience at this hotel and we can look back to a wonderfull trip to the seychelles. My humble advice to the hotel would be to aquire some top foam mattresses that can be put on beds for guest that feel the bed are uncomfortable hard. Improve staff attitude. Simple things like giving out an additional beach towel. All guests are restricted to only have 1 towel pr day.. and improve breakfast service and ensure all loungers have cushions.

Besides the fact that the hotel grounds are incredibly lovely, the staff's hospitality is over the top. We have enjoyed every bit of our stay at this hotel and I totally recommend it to anyone to experience. The staff is highly professional and very kind, they have done everything in their power to make our stay dream-like. Thank you so much to all the staff members!!!

we went there in june 2021 for four days. I will just give positive impressions about this hotel. All is perfect ! So simple ! I will particularly stress the kindness of the staff. I mean all the staff, beginning at the desk, then in restaurant, and also in the kitchen, ( where the cook made me a nice chocolate cake for my birthday. It was a surprise.), the ladies preparing the room are also very kind and attentive to your everyday confort, the old gardener...... Thank you to them all, because they really take care of us and made everything to help us after an accident I had on the island. Be sure we'll be back !
