We had lovely stay at the Mt. Engadine Lodge, combined with two days of cross-country skiing on nearby trails. When we arrived after an afternoon of skiing, the innkeepers Chris and Shari-Lynn welcomed as warmly, whisked our bags into our room, gave us a tour of the Lodge--and served us delicious soup. There was also a wonderful afternoon tea buffet... More

My husband and I traveled to Mount Engadine as part of our honeymoon. It is in the middle of nowhere... which is perfect when you are sick of overcrowded tourist attractions in Banff and Lake Louise. We were greeted by Chris when we got there, our bags were taken to our room, and we sat down and enjoyed afternoon tea.... More

Chris and Shari-Lynn, along with all the staff, are incredibly gracious and and helpful hosts. The views overlooking moose meadow (yes, the moose appear regularly!) as well as the mountains across the meadow are awesome. The food was delicious - two course breakfast, buffet to pack you own picnic lunch , afternoon tea/savories, and excellent dinner. Truly a phenomenal place... More

Since we live in Montana, we have travelled throught southern Alberta and BC extensively. In short, this place is a gem! We have stayed at all the Fairmont properties, but for experiencing faboulous wildlife, nature, great food, and excellent service, Mt Engadine is tops. The rooms are cozy with great views of the daily Moose parade. In short, Kananaskis is... More

We absolutely loved Mt Engadine. We flew there the morning after our wedding and were so happy to arrive at a beautiful, quiet, relaxing spot. Our room was beautiful- we had small balcony, a fireplace and a sitting area and were able to enjoy the view as we were on the second floor. The area is beautiful- we enjoyed hiking... More

We stayed at the end of August for 4 nights and absolutely loved the area and the lodge. Our hosts Chris and Sheri-Lynn were extremely gracious and helpful with answering all our questions about the area and day hikes etc... They are professionals. The lodge was very clean, comfortable and homey. All meals were included (full breakfast, pack lunch, afternoon... More

From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated superbly. All the four members of staff we met were extremely welcoming and friendly - making us feel really at home. The food was absolutely bountiful, nutritious and delicious; and our room was more than very comfortable. As for the location, it was simply stunning. We felt like we... More

This place thoroughly deserves all the awards and recommendations it gets. We stayed for six nights in the Owl room which had the best views of the snow capped mountains rising above the meadow. The room was very spacious with a huge handmade bed and lovely locally produced toiletries in the bathroom. The rest of the lodge was very homely... More

What can I add to the glowing reviews of this place that hasn't already been said? Well one thing is: believe the hype. My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon trip from Vancouver to Calgary. We stayed in the WhiskeyJack cabin with its own bathroom (as i think all the accomodation has now)... An awesome experience - sharing a real live meadow with it's rightful owners - the moose, deer and birds. The lodge's deck was a great place to spend time basking in the beauty of the mountains adorned with the lingering ice and snow of winters past while watching the parade of bulls, cows and their calves coming to mire themselves...
