We stayed at The Talbot Inn for 2 nights (Thursday and Friday) and we got a great deal by contacting The Talbot Inn directly, We booked to stay in a standard double room, but were given the option of staying in a luxury room for an extra £20,00 per night for the Thursday night only as it was booked out... more

We stayed for 2 nights and were placed in a large room/suite in old part of the property. There were low beams and uneven floors which all added to the experience of staying in a very old property. The service we received was excellent - this began from the moment we booked. We had a great buffet style breakfast (included)... more

Booked thru lastminute - very good rate, paid extra to stay in one of the deluxe rooms. Some rooms are in a new building, others like mine are in the older (16th Century?) part of the hotel. Room was very old, floors sloped all over the place, low beamed ceiling. Very tastefully furnished. Bed was the softest I've ever slept... more

Love this little inn.. so charming and wonderful staff. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. Great restaurant on site, really good breakfasts, nice place to eat outside and a charming little pub downstairs. You literally could just stay on the premises the whole time. We stayed in one of the newer rooms and it was nice. Shower only, but that... more

I booked because of Trip Advisor reviews. I wanted an old English Inn as opposed to a modern chain hotel/Inn. I was not disappointed! The Inn is seriously old and has all the features you would come to expect. Low (very!) beams, lower doors!, nice cosy bar, lovely chioce of restaurant areas. Our welcome was friendly and genuine. The twin... more

Myself and my husband booked via laterooms for a 2 night stay this June and we had a lovely time at the Talbot Inn with only a few minor hitches to report. When my husband booked, we checked the photos and rooms descriptions on the hotel's own website and decided to go for a Deluxe Room. When we checked in... more

Great value for money, we stayed 2 nights in a deluxe room for £165 booking through Mylaterooms.com. Lovely quaint room tastefully furnished. Restaurant is superb, and service is great. Had 2 meals there and they are of a very high standard. Also has a michelin starred restaurant a short walk down the road called Drakes which was also excellent. Only... more

Have stayed at the Talbot twice and will be doing so many more times. A gem of a find, sympathetically, yet trendily renovated coaching inn. It has quirky rooms in the original part of the hotel, many overlooking the village high street and converted mews rooms with great linen and duvets and pleasant bathrooms.. A super place for dining as... more

This is without question, given the very affordable price, the most pleasant hotel I have stayed in. It was a pleasure not only to stay but dine here. The service is remarkable, personal and thorough. I would not hesitate at all in recommending the Talbot Inn. Our organisation are becoming very loyal to this hotel. This testament to their overall... more
