We loved our stay at Palazzo Malaspina. Large rooms overlooking the hills and wineries of Chianti, lovely breakfasts with the freshly baked cake each day deserving a special mention, helpful host Maria who gaves us suggestions on what to visit, where to park, etc. Mary, who helps at the B&B is really sweet and offered to do our laundry which... I had the pleasure of spending three glorious days and evenings at this lovely place. Maria the owner and Mary her assistant were simply terrific. Our room number 1 with its patio overlooking the hills was blissful. The palazzo is so pristine and clean you cannot imagine how it can be kept in such perfect order. Marynis a wonderful hostess... Thank you Maria for making our stay in Tuscany so wonderfully memorable! Our room was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. It was so nice of you to have a bottle of wine and a bottle of water waiting for us when we arrived! We are already missing your amazing breakfast buffet and Mary's cappuccino! We highly recommend a stay at... More

From the very first time we arrived at Palazzo Malaspina in May 2013, Maria's warm and very welcoming smile made us feel right at home. We stayed in lovely Bedroom 1 which had a great bathroom including amenities and ultra thick bath towels, very comfortable bed and balconey with a breathtaking view of the Tuscan hills. Maria and her very... More

When we planned our trip to Italy, we knew we didn't want to pack, unpack, and repack every day... so we chose to spend almost our entire trip at Palazzo Malaspina and to day-trip from there. We are THRILLED with this decision and especially with Palazzo Malaspina -- it really did feel like a home away from home. The room... More

We stayed at Palazzo Malaspina for a week this May and so got a great feel for the Palazzo, Maria and her staff and the location. Firstly the Palazzo itself, it really is a Palazzo! Real history and rooms so tastefully decorated it always felt good coming back after a day's touring around, try saying that when staying in Paris... More

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet little village. The rooms are very nicely decorated and very clean. Our room had a jacuzzi tub which was great after a day of sightseeing. It is centrally located and close to Other Tuscan locations. We really enjoyed visiting the towns of Rada and Castellini. There are 2 restaurants that I would recommend... More

First, your hosts, Maria and Georgio treat you just like family. We have never felt so welcomed and been so well received as we were here. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, very clean, and extremely comfortable. They serve a huge breakfast each morning, and Maria always has one of her fantastic breakfast cakes ready to be devoured. She makes them... More

My husband and I stayed at Palazzo Malaspina in April 2013 and would highly recommend it. The room we had was beautifully decorated, with a great bathroom and was spotlessly clean. Maria is an excellent host, the breakfasts were delicious, especially Maria's cakes and she also gave us good tips for visiting some of the amazing towns in Tuscany, which... More

We stayed in this lovely Palazzo for a week with our two children aged 5 and 10 yrs. The location of the place - in the centre of the charming town of San Donato - is in a relaxing and safe environment while at the same time it is really convenient for travelling all around Tuscany. We were greated at... More
