We left the La Torretta with pleasant memories of the place and the hosts Maureen, Jennifer, and Roberto, that we will enjoy for some time. The hosts were cordial and helpful. All was pleasant, the rooms, the evenings reading at the fireplace, and the breakfasts. We and another couple signed up for an afternoon cooking class with Jennifer at La... more

This was our third stay at La Torretta in the past six years or so; we always come away with such fond memories of a great stay that if we are in the Rome area it's the first (and only) place we think of. The lovely rooms, the great views, the inviting living area (where guests can read, enjoy the... more

One and a half million imaginary miles from Rome lies the dreaming village of Casperia. Those miles, of course ARE only imaginary. In fact it’s only about 45 really… it just appears that way, for here is a little bit of peace and quiet far, far removed from Via del Corso. Communications with Rome are actually very good. For some... more

Together with 3 friends I stayed in La Torretta for one week. Before going we read the reviews online which were all fantastic. To be honest we didn't think that La Torretta and Casperia would live up to our expectations. However, the reality was even better than the expectation. Roberto, Maureen, Jennifer and Kathleen made our stay unforgettable. Nothing was... more

This bed and breakfast rocks. THe owners, Maureen and Roberto, are beyond friendly and beyond helpful. They both speak english and were very accomodating. We wandered up (after sending them this conveluded email about when and if we would arrive. we were flying standby so unsure if we would even make it but that didn't deter them!). They saw us... more

I booked my long weekend break through a company called 'Taste of Rome', run by Mark Minhane from Dublin. I didn't meet Mark but his friends and colleagues are simply amazing. Casperia and La Torretta in particular is the most stunning place I have ever been. The cookery lessons, olive oil and wine tasting were obviously a great addition to... more

This was our first stop after 3 days in Rome on our honeymoon. The drive to Casperia through the countryside was amazing. There are plenty of places to stop and take in the view along the way. We arrived in Casperia and parked outside of the town on a parking lot overlooking the valley. We found our way through the... more

My husband, son and I just returned from a trip to this lovely part of the world. We were guests at La Torretta in the tiny hilltop town of Casperia. For the first few days, my husband and I were sick with bronchitis. Maureen Scheda and her daughter Jennifer couldn't help us enough. They summoned the doctor for us and... more
