What a country gem The Hawkley Inn is. Tucked away on a narrow country lane on the edge of a pretty Hampshire village, the inn is appealing and charming. The friendly welcome is genuine and everyone I met (on 3 visits) were extremely pleasant. Excellent service, great food, a terrific wine list (and reasonable) and a wide range of beers.... More

Following a warm welcome when we arrived at this great pub, we were promptly shown to our room which was lovely and spacious, overlooking the back garden and views beyond. The chocolate placed on each pillow of the large, comfy bed was a lovely touch!! The fire in the bar created a great atmosphere within this wonderful traditional pub, which... More

We were very happy to arrive at the Hawkley Inn after a full day's cycling, and were made very welcome. The accommodation was of a higher standard than we'd normally expect to find in a pub-with-rooms; after a nice soak in the bath we enjoyed some excellent hand-pumped cider and great food. After a very sound sleep and a full... More

Every time we see a review which recognises the work we do the whole team is lifted and no better time for that than at the end of a long bank holiday weekend. So, thank you so much for your very kind review and appreciation of the Hawkley Inn and what we do here. I hope the rest of your... More

Well off the beaten track, but so worth it. Great beer festivals & music, and a selection of draught ales, and ciders, regularly available to die for. Such lovely staff and welcoming of dogs and grubby walkers. I cannot think of a better pub for beer anywhere near. I love it. I just wish I lived closer.

Stayed here as wanted a weekend away with a friend where we could have lots of good walks on the doorstep. Had a great weekend. Nick, the landlord, could not have been more helpful, from the moment we arrived until we left. Our room was great - we stayed in the Good wood, which is ideal for 2 friends to... More

We came here a few weekends ago after a long walk just on the off chance and were really impressed. The two girls who were serving were so friendly and welcoming way above and beyond what we expected. we had a fantastic risotto with celeriac and peppers- my husband said that it was the best he had ever tasted! Pudding... More

With none of the fuss of a poncey gastro pub, this place has a lovely welcoming feel of a traditional inn. We stumbled across it whilst out walking, tucked away in the pretty and rural village of Hawkley, the pub was a real find. Dog friendly too, which was a nice bonus. We stayed for lunch, and the menu is... More

Perfect pub, great food with an AMAZING Cassoulet. Very friendly, even to our dog and grubby walking boots. We will definitely be back soon to try more of the menu. The only negative is my husband is now in trouble having found this pub last year but kept is a secret from me until now

Stayed over on business. Rooms spacious, clean and extremely well decorated. Great welcome on arrival - the host really cannot do enough for you. Menu is first class - I had the cassoulet followed by bread and butter pudding. Food very well presented and delicious. Extras such a free wi-fi and even a wee dram of whiskey in the room... More
