We were delighted to find a B & B within walking distance of family, and with such high standards. Very calm and relaxing place to stay, with the highlight being a delicious cooked breakfast overlooking the garden.

We came across South Downs on the internet, pictures looked amazing but the place was well beyond our expectations. Nothing was too much trouble even in February 2012 for a very late arrival and next day when it was snowing fetching us from a surprise 60th birthday party was just a great service. Henry & Julie

Had a very pleasant stay in a beautiful part of the country. Service was excellent and our hosts made every effort to make us feel comfortable and at home. Forest Lodge is highly recommended and it would be difficult to find a better place to stay in many parts of the world, let alone the country.

My mom and I stayed at South Downs in November 2011. Theresa and her husband were absolutely amazing, so welcoming and helpful. We stayed at this B&B for a wedding we attended and it was first class. Spacious Rooms with stylish, modern ensuite bathrooms. Excellent breakfast too. You could sense that the owner's motto is rather quality and not quantity. Very recommendable!
