Just come back from a week playing golf in the borders and stayed at The Auld Cross Keys Inn and Karren & Dave were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The room was first rate, with clean towells every day and the service would put many to shame. As other reviews mention the food is excellent, though as cooked... More

We were 8 ladies meeting up for a 3 day golf trip in the Borders. We had a room each, without any single supplement, the rooms were spotlessly clean and simply but tastefully decorated, and fresh white towels appeared every day. The food was excellent too, but best of all was the welcome we received - Karen and Dave could... More

This is a very friendly old Inn facing the beautiful green in Denholm. We were made extremely welcome. My husband is disabled and they could not do enough for him. We stayed in a disabled room, which was, in fact a little cottage next door to the pub. I would recommend this to anyone with a disabled partner to stay... More

Didn't stay at the hotel so can't comment on that, but attended the annual ale festival recently. Friendliest of staff, great selection of the wet stuff, good honest food, beautiful location, will be returning for the next jamboree. Big thumbs up!

Stayed here for the first time late February 2012 after reading reviews on TA. My stay was really enjoyable and Karen and Dave couldn't make you more welcome. Rooms are spotless and have everything you need. Food was excellent - the dining room is huge. Didn't sample the beer garden as it was a bit cold but it looks like... More

This was our third stay at this delightful old establishment, and the quality of food, and standard of service and cleanliness is of the highest order. Mine hosts Dave and Karen do everything to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible and Dave certainly knows how to keep a good pint of beer and a well stocked bar.... More

Came across this via late rooms & was not disappointed. Warm welcome, warm bar with open fire cracking. Food was of restaurant standard & local ales well kept. Rooms were clean spacious & comfortable, will be stopping again at first oppurtunity.
