I couldn't even go to this place. They wanted me a 100% payment before, BUT I had to GO TO BUENOS AIRES TO PAY, or send the money through Suiss Bank (that I even don't have in my city). By mail I told them that I'm TOURIST from abroad, if they doesn't accept reservations by credit card ou paypall. They... More

It looks amazing, the architecture is spectacular.. But no not stay here.. it caters to the once only visitor. Shame really as it could be spectacular. We were lusting for a drink after our hour & a bit on dirt tracks to be told that .. there was nothing apart from wine (see later note) & beer... Surprising that such... More

Dear Fussy Brit, First of all we thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding our Estancia ,since the best way to improve our services is by listening to our guests. Regarding the points you mention: * Our lodging program includes all meals, non-alcoholic drinks and beer, and we offer good Argentinian wine at an additional cost.... More

This was a beautiful place, great food and service. We took a couple of horse rides and used the pool. Food was very good, service was charming. Our room was lovely and tasteful, with a balcony with a lovely view of the grounds. Many of the buildings are very old, although the upper floors of the largest are new you... More

We had a fantastic time at Santa Rita, staying 2 days and 2 nights. Upon arrival we were led to our room with a log fire already lit inside. After a quick historical tour of the gardens we were served their tea service, a great collection of tea and cakes. We spent our time horse riding, eating, relaxing in the... More

I am a citizen of another country who has lived in Argentina for several years. I have stayed at some gorgeous estancias and inns. I believed I had researched Santa Rita very well but we were blown away by the substandard interior, messy and uncared for exterior, the wierd decor that looks like someone's amateur art project and the terrible... First off, they do not charge $85/night. We were quoted $363/night and expected a good hotel. At best, this place feels like visiting an eccentric old aunt's country place. At worst, it feels like intruding on a Gahan Wilson or Addams family reunion. One enters through two tall showy and decrepit pink concrete posts, joined not by the wrought iron... More

I am always weary of these travel reviews because there is a suspicion the writer works for whatever is being reviewed. Rest assured, this is not the case. We just spent two weeks in Argentina, with three days at Estancia Santa Rita. It was a 2.5 hour drive to get from Florida Street in downtown Buenos Aires to this remote... More

While planning a vacation to Buenos Aires, my mother, sister and I decided it would be fun to visit an estancia. Many friends had recommended the experience so we decided to indulge ourselves. After a great deal of review and requests for suggestions, we settled on Estancia Santa Rita - about an hour outside Buenos Aires. We inquired about availability... More

We had this Estancia booked as part of our holiday by our travel agent. The photos don't do this Estancia and its fantastic, massive, grounds justice, it is a truly amazing 'colonial-design' country house in the middle of nowhere. I have no idea how we would have found it if weren't taken there by our travel guide (even they got... More

I stayed at the Estancia Santa Rita with some friends in November 2006. We had an absolutely amazing experience there. The hotel is beautiful, it looks like a palace dropped in the middle of a ranch...just gorgeous. All meals are included in your stay, and the food was great. One important note: the directions from Buenos Aires are terrible, we... More
