A very disappointing welcome from Marie Claire - she was obviously far too busy with her Wellness Centre to talk to us or show us our room. We had booked an evening meal but she said that the Wellness Centre didn't close till 9pm so would we like an omelette now (6.00pm)? We agreed to go to the local restaurant... More

We stayed in the small gite for 2 nights in July 2011 (90 eur/night). It looks small but actually 7 persons could sleep there - there are 2 bedrooms (one with 2 single beds and one with a double + single) and also an additional double bed up the stairs in a small kind of loft. A table and some... More

Used Alastair Sawdays excellent website to make an e-mail enquiry regarding availability. When I received no reply I telephoned, but there was no reply. Then Marie-Claire returned my call saying she had checked the last number received, and assured me she would check her e-mails and reply immediately. Still no response! I then telephoned again and spoke with her daughter... More

If you're looking for a slightly unusual place to break your journey through France, you should try Le Moulin. It's close to the motorways, yet tucked away in a quiet village. We received a warm welcome from Marie-Claire and her family together with a chilled pichet of white wine ! There's a good value restaurant conveniently located across the road... More

We've stayed here several times on our way to and from camping in the south of France. It's always a highlight of our holiday and we love going there. Marie-Claire is a wonderful host, and she makes you feel so welcome in her home.

We have stayed with Marie-Claire and Martin many times and have never been disappointed with the rustic charm of the service they offer at their B&B. As we arrived last weekend, Marie-Claire was rescuing travellers stranded without fuel on the Autoroute! This time we stayed in the two-bedroom "gite" which has a small kitchen and lounge. Dissay is well placed... More

As I was passing through Chateau du Loir I saw an AA Approved sign over the L'Hotel de Ville and although Dianne [proprietor] was full, she suggested Marie Claire and the Watermill. The location next to the Church is ideal and the Mill Race and Pond that were used to work the Mill Wheel are very scenic and I would... More

Le Moulin du Prieure is a lovely B & B located halfway between Tours & Le Mans in a pretty little village called Dissay-sous-Courcillon. The property is an old watermill that used to belong to the pretty church next door. We stayed in the family apartment and there was lots of space for the 5 of us. The decor is... More
