A really friendly welcome was followed by a great meal at reasonable prices. Menu was extensive and the food was well presented and excellent. The only criticism was time between courses but the food is prepared fresh so not a problem. Will definitely return to a lovely setting.

Had it not been for a Travelzoo offer we would not have visited this wonderful gourmet pub as somewhere like this would be unknown to passing visitors. For a start, Munslow is tiny village on the B4368 in Shropshire where a visitor would be forgiven for not stopping as there are about only 20 odd houses and The Crown would... More

Great warm atmosphere. Happy friendly professional staff. Wonderful country feel and cosy. A typical old country inn with wonderful views of shropshire hills. Imaginative and varied menu with nice extras which makes for a memorable experience. Can't wait to return! Great happy memories! Thanks

A group of us stayed at the hotel last weekend and can recommend it highly. The hotel is friendly and welcoming and the rooms are very nice with comfortable, massive beds, toiletries, tea and coffee- making facilities, sweets, biscuits, etc. We had the downstairs bedroom which had an ensuite shower room (not a power shower but it was hot and... We stayed for 2 nights after the Easter weekend on a Living social deal. Everything was great. We received a very warm welcome from Jane, and Richard helped us with our bags. Our room was very comfortable and cosy and the bathroom was spotless, just what we needed after a very chilly day in Shrewsbury. What can you say about... More

Just retuned from a two night break at The Crown Country Inn. We had always wanted to experience food cooked by a top chef and when the opportumity to stay via a Living Social offer we managed to book to include our anniversary. On entering the Inn, the real fire smell and warmth was instantly inviting. Book inm was quick... More

It was very nice meeting you last week and we are so glad that you had a wonderful anniversary with us and enjoyed the culinary delights we have to offer. The accommodation at the rear is unfortunately a problem to people with certain mobility problems, but due to the nature of the Inn being set into a small hill and... More

Pleasant country pub with gastro-pub aspirations. Various cosy nooks in bars, friendly professional staff. Visited after a long absence having had dire warnings from a friend about bleak “converted garage” area to be avoided. He was also unenthusiastic about service standards having been a past fan of the Crown. A TravelZoo £29 voucher for two for a glass of prosecco,... More

A lovely, warm welcome, and fantastic food throughout our two-night stay. The environment was very relaxing and the Inn has been looked after beautifully, creating a place full of fascinating nooks and crannies. Our room was spacious and welcoming. Went on a Living Social deal, hope to go back again some time.
