A group of six of us stayed for 3 nights at Sierra Palms. Bear in mind that this is located near the top of a mountain and the road is very narrow and winding. We ended up ascending as all of the construction crew were descending for the day...a little hairy! A portion of it is under construction and the detour is rather interesting to say the least! On our way from San Juan airport, we stopped for groceries...buy enough for breakfast and lunch and whatever dinners you eat in and libations for your entire stay! We didn't relish the trip up/down the mountain until we had to! We had dinner 2/3 nights at nearby Casa Cubuy...it was very good. The villa itself is open, airy, and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped and there is a gas grill with a drip pan that isn't the greatest. We had hot dogs and hamburgers one night and the hot dogs were fine, but the only ground beef we could find was very fatty and it made for a difficult cleanup. So, only grill... more
