On our way home we decided to spend our last night in France in this nice historic castle. We rung in the morning to check if there was a room available and we arrived later that day. Mrs de Beauregard welcomed us and showed us the room. First thing we wanted to do is have a swim in the swimmingpool because it was a warm day. It is a very small swimmingpool which is OK but it was not kept clean for a long time. Lots of leaves, the bottom was green and slippery and there was a dead frog. It was warm so we went in, but it should have been cleaned if you know that you get guests who probably want to have a swim on a warm day. The room was spacious, lots of carpet in the bathroom (to the edge of the tub). In the corridor lots of albums with pictures of the owners with their guests making us think when are they going to take a picture of us? With all respect to the owners I must say that the spirit has gone. We had a good sleep, breakfast was simple, and left to go home without a picture... more
