We stayed in Gill Cottage for a relaxing weekend getaway, Tottergill was everything we expected and more. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by Joyce and Stephen, with the chocolate and cakes a delightful extra touch. The views from this particular cottage were magnificent overlooking the Eden valley and Solway coast. The open plan... More

We had the most relaxing week here. On arrival everything was ready for us, from the wood burning stove being made ready to light, to the cakes, chocolate and New Years' champagne waiting for us! The cottage is beautiful; clean, cosy and spacious. It had all the amenities you would expect, even free wi-fi access! The beds were so comfy... More

We stayed in Garth Cottage to give us a base for visiting family in the area during Christmas. The cottage is in a beautiful setting with magnificant views and was so peaceful and relaxing that we found it hard to pull ourselves away to go and do our visits. It was a real antidote to the hustle and bustle of... More

Our stay in Watson Cottage, for the week over Christmas, was made very speciall by Stephen and Joyce. They even went to the trouble of putting up a decorated Christmas tree (with a gift for us underneath!). Hot tub superb also. Excellent!!!! More

Stayed twice with family before in the Mill Barn (Superb). This time just the wife and I in Gelt Cottage. As ever - great to back, the usual friendly hello from Joyce & Stephen, and the usual 5 Star accommodation. Dont really want to let the secret of this lovely place out! Lovely Cottage, stunning views, great wildlife. There are... More

But have made an exception for Tottergill. We have just booked again for next Easter, and this will be our 9th Easter week there with our two boys, who have grown up with Tottergill aa a regular part of their lives! Over the years wehave stayed in all the two bedroom cottages, and they are all lovely. Our favourite is... More

We stayed in Garth cottage for a 4 night mid-week break. The standard of accommodation was first class. Beautiful cottage in gorgeous peaceful surroundings. We cannot reccommend it highly enough. Each cottage is different in character - ours was more traditional in nature. I was shown around Watson cottage which has 3 en-suite rooms and a super huge living/dining area... More

Last year, we stayed in Mill Barn for a week - one of the 3 pet-friendly cottages at Tottergill. This time, Low Barn was available and we stayed for 11 nights. The standard was just as high - after staying in a number of (frankly ropey) pet-friendly cottages over the years, Tottergill is a revelation. We had a nightmare journey,... More

This was our first stay in Gill Cottage, but will certainly not be our last! The whole experience far exceeded our expectations. Upon our arrival, we were met with a warm welcome from Joyce. After that, the only evidence of other guests were their cars parked outside their cottages. We were unaware of any other beings apart from sheep and... More

Stephen & Joyce....what can I say, its magical moments. You have prepared everything and views are spectacular. The cottage is so warm and cosy that you just want to sit and relax and unwind. Keep it up and wish you all the best and definately will - with gods will - be here again with family. I've even forgot a... More
