We have just returned from a 28 day stay at the Andaman Seaview Hotel. We requested a top floor room without a connecting door and a sea view and got precisely that. Stunning service, stunning staff, stunning food. Definately a location for swimming in the sea across the road, or in the hotel pool. Local shops have all you need. Shop around before you commit to a tailor. You need to bargin all the way but it's fun - be nice about it.

The location was ideal for us, the hotel looks onto Karon beach and a 10 min walk away you have Kata beach which is beautiful!!
