Had a two-night break here. Good base from which to walk to the coast and/or Heddon Valley. It's a working farm - they were lambing when we stayed - but it didn't affect the quality of our stay. Plenty of sheep, cows, horses and dogs around, if you like that. It's a 2k walk to the top of Heddon Valley... More

We have been visiting Higher Bodley several times a year for the last 4 years as we have relatives nearby. Debbie and Robbie have become friends now and always greet us enthusiastically. The room is very comfortable for the two of us plus Baz the Golden Retriever - so plenty of room! It is always spotless as is the bathroom.... More

We stayed for two nights at Higher Bodley Farm for a short break last week. We were greeted by Debbie and two of her lovely dogs Jeffery and Jack and we were warmly welcomed into their home. We stayed in the Longstone suite which was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Everything we needed was provided for, even books and a... More

The Hosts made us most welcome in their lovely farm setting in North Devon....our room was marvelous, comfortable bed with luxurious linens, separate sitting area as I sometimes like to read late at night, the bathroom facility meticulous and updated. The breakfasts served in a quaint country farm dining room with yummy homemade bread with full or continental breakfast included.... More

My husband, our Springer Spaniel and I have just got back from a 5 day stay at Higher Bodley Farm. We stayed in the apartment on the farm and enjoyed a lovely home cooked breakfast everyday. Nothing was too much trouble for Debbie and Robbie and we were made to feel very welcome. The breakfasts consist of the farm's own... More

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel totally at home. Even though we arrived at the start of the lambing season ( a very busy time for Rob on the farm) nothing was too much trouble. Debbie was the perfect host - welcoming, attentive ... fabulous breakfasts ...! Geoffrey the black labrador was the best friend to... More

We stayed one night at Higher Bodley.with our dog. Debbie and Rob were both so welcoming and friendly. The room was beautiful, bed very comfortable! Beautiful farm house in an amazing location. Breakfast was fantastic. We would love to come back in the spring to enjoy the location in all its glory.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights during October half term, to walk a section of the South West coast path. We were made to feel very welcome by Debbie & Rob, and stayed in a superb room, which had been recently renovated. It is a fully working farm, with several hundred acres of land. Apparently you can... More

It's all been said by the other reviewers, but they are right - what a great place. We stayed in the four-poster room, which has a lovely sitting area for chilling and watching tele. The en-suite wet room is well equipped, and the king-size bed is really comfy. Breakfasts were varied, well cooked and very enjoyable. The whole place is... More
