I went to the JW Marriott for my 50th birthday with another couple. I have been all over the world and this resort was exceptional. I've read some other reviews complaining about the service. I must say that for the seven nights we stayed the service was great! This resort is beautiful! The pools are amazing and the variety of... more

Our visit was middle of the road at best. The staff has become complacient, there is no access to other activities except for a very expensive taxi ride. The beach has no place for children to build sand castles and you cannot swim in that part of the sea. Each meal is a minimum of 35$ us and more. Unless... more

I stayed in this nice hotel for 3 nights in late April 2009. I enjoyed this hotel very much: every thing was good. Good point: -a luxury room -excellent services (with personal touch) -> they are very helpful for my mom who uses a wheelchair. -good facility & beach -lots of activities for guests->many are free such as kayak on... more

When we arrived we were greeted warmly, and taken to a nice room. Unfortunately, that was the last good experience we had other than the cooking class. The hotel seems to cater to US Tourists who want to feel like they are still in the US. Every one speaks perfect English, and greets guests in English, rather than Thai. The... more

We stayed here for a long weekend (4 nights) at the end of May. We always try to stay at Marriott’s for business and pleasure as very predictable and good quality. We arrived to rain (having left sunny Singapore) and a taxi driver who kept telling us it was "low" season and the rain wouldn't stop - not a good... more

I stayed at JW Marriott in November 2008, for a 4 days conference. The place is fabulous, including the hotel itself and the location. Situated on a very lonely 18 km beach (Mai Khao) the hotel is well-known for protecting the little turtles (you will be charged with a little daily ammount for these sympa creatures). The resort is very... more

This was our 2nd stay at JW Marriott hotels in Thailand, 1st was in Bangkok, and the hotel and location were amazing for both. One of the great selling points, which is very unusual, is the deli restaurant which served sandwiches, salads, ice cream, cakes, etc. & also had small shop. Used on various occasions and very suitable with young... more

We stayed in 1-bedroom seaview suite for 1 night during 1st wk of May. What we loved: - spacious and luxurious room, with guest bathroom, separate dressing room, huge private terrace overlooking the sea and comfortable bed - friendly and well-trained staff - unbelievable beach! - endless strip of clean sand, warm and clear water, and absolutely deserted! The sea... more

We've visited the JW Marriot several times and it has alwaysbeen a great experience. You must do a kickboxing class with Khun Sam. He's a great trainer and he'll give you a great workout. Well worth the price. Once you're all bruised up from kickboxing, the massages at the spa are the perfect fix. The kickboxing classes are the only... more

Quite mixed feeling about his resort. A lovely property, nice rooms, a beautiful beach but there were a few things that I did not like. First, if you are a beach lover, this is not the place for you. There is a gorgeous beach but the hotel does not have any chairs on the beach. The ocean was quite rough... more
