What a disappointment! The front desk staff were not friendly or helpful – most without smiles. The only staff at the resort who are smiling are the waiters in the restaurant, who do a very good job. Ban Raya is totally underrated. Such a fantastic island and such a fantastic little resort! Beautiful views, clean comfortable bungalows, great pool. The island is the best I've seen in Thailand - gorgeous! more

When you arrive at the Island, at a fab beach, with a resort on the beach and then get put on a tractor trailer and disapear in to the jungle you are slightly dissapointed....however Ban Raya is a very good resort with comfortable rooms, good service and good food. I've stayed there twice alone on a diving trip and this place just blows your mind up by it's beauty and freshness. No turist crowds, just you and paradise. There is some nice guesthouses on the island, but this has very good price and quality level. I will come back again. more
