We simply loved the Greenbank B&B and our 3-day stay on the Isle of Skye. It is in a sense at the end of the world -- 7 miles down a one-lane road on the Waternish peninsula of the Isle of Skye, not far from Dunvegan Castle, where one's ride is often interrupted by sheep and cattle crossing the road, and friendly waves from passing drivers along the way (quite the change from the New Jersey Turnpike!). The proprietor was quite friendly, cooked an excellent breakfast (including a vegetarian option) and was quite knowledgeable about things to do on the island. We were warned about small rooms on Skye, but our rooms here were quite clean and comfortably sized, with beautiful views of the Ocean, roaming sheep in the back yard, and shades of green to die for. For a small extra fee, the proprietor was happy to wash our clothes, much needed half way through our trip.
