I was a little worried before arriving at the hotel because I had made some calls to the hotel to ask something and they never answered my calls. It was difficult to find the hotel (as it is really hidden) but the hotel was worth the effort. Friendly, nice and helpful staff, great food, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable rooms... more

Tucked away in the Cotswolds, Burleigh Court was idyllic. The views from the bedroom window on a crisp Autumn morning were quite magical - the Golden Valley covered in mist and bright sunshine on the hillside. This family-run country-house hotel is quietly and efficiently run . Our room was spacious and warm with an extremely comfortable bed and lashings of... more

We had a most enjoyable stay in this lovely hotel. We were greeted on arrival and treated as though we were family staying as house guests. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the impressive dinner was a delight. We were sorry to leave more

Looking for somewhere special to celebrate my husband's birthday, I came across this little gem on Tripadvisor. Surely it could not possibly live up to it's unanimous 5 star rating? Well it did! Follow the hotel's directions rather than your SatNav and you enter one of the most beautiful hotel locations in England.- perfect views over a Cotswold valley. The... more

Celebrated my mother-in-law's 80th with Sunday lunch at this hotel. Certainly the lovely weather helped but enjoying a pimms on the terrace whilst we ordered set the scene for the remainder of our visit. The meal was most enjoyable, and the Birthday Girl felt quite special when her dessert arrived complete with candle! The staff were efficient but not intrusive,... more

We often book at the last minute, and I have phoned this hotel several times over the last 3 years for late availability and it is always full. However this weekend we were lucky even to the extent of being shown a choice of rooms and given a free upgrade. Interested to read the previous review, yes food is not... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend break in November. We found the hotel warm and comfortable apart from the fact that the pillows on our bed were flat and hard. Our main gripe was the food, it was very well presented but was grossly over priced(£10.50 for three scallops for a starter) and if you have a... more

We booked this hotel for a family gathering to celebrate my mothers 60th birthday. I was tempted to book by the lovely photos on the website with the amazing views looking down into the valley... and as usual I logged onto tripadvisor to confirm my choice. Well I can only say that i am glad that I did. All of... more

Having stayed in many Johansens-recommended hotels and wondered just what their "inspector" was looking at, it is good to be able to find one that does justify its rating. This is an excellent small hotel and only a couple of minor issues prevent it from being one of the best small hotels I have stayed in. Arrival was sunday afternoon... more
