This is quite a unique place- the bar area is very welcoming and the charming restaurant is in several parts, the pub being built on a slope each room is at a different level, and one has a well in it. The food is amazing and deserving of it's awards- especially the gastro pies (I am not easy to fill... More

Stayed here this weekend for a birthday -lovely old pub, fantastic service (especially Hannah) wonderful food (especially the pies, but extensive choices of other food) Breakfast was lovely too - more choices than the normal full English. Room was spotless, bed very comfortable - best night's sleep for ages. Not far from the beautiful Forest of Dean. Will definitely return.

We were not disappointed! After taking some time to digest the extensive menu, two of our party decided on the Steak and Guinness Pie, one had... More
