It was the best BB I was on my visit to the UK. It´s well located and very charming, comfortable and clean. Wendy is very kind and friendly. She cares about guest and does everything to make your stay the best possible. Each corner of the house has an interesting and intriguing detail. The breakfast is stunning. I even enjoyed... More

My friends and I rented all 4 rooms at The Old School House, each of them are perfect. The attention to detail is amazing, snowdrops in a vase in the bathroom, just so lovely. When we arrived Wendy had a wonderful homemade cake ready for us, tea & coffee and a burning fire, we were in Heaven. On the first... More

Another warm welcome by Wendy and John, it really is like staying with friends! A warm welcome with coffee, tea and a large slice of home made cake by the log burner!! what a nice way to start your stay!! Wendy and John are both very welcoming and don't even mind you hanging around during the day just lazing by... More

Great B&B - the hosts, Wendy and John, could not be more accommodating of the needs of their guests. Amazing breakfast and even better afternoon tea and cakes served up in the cosy snug. The pictures don't do this place justice. If you can drag yourself out of the B&B, there are lots of lovely walks nearby and some great... More

We were booked into The Old School House for a Christmas present by my sister so we had no idea what to expect. We had a wonderful stay as the house itself is beautfully restored with such attention to detail. There were even a collection of old photos showing the house as it was when it was a school and... We had a fabulous stay at the Old School House. We were warmly welcomed by Wendy to what was a superb B&B. Our room was perfect in every way with a giant and very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the sitting room with a roaring wodburner and a pot of tea with Wendy’s homemade scones. Suggestions on where to eat on... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Old School B&B last year so much that we returned this year. The fact that the Old School has gotten 118 out of 118 "Excellent" reviews (I'll discount the one where the reviewer couldn't correspond with Wendy - that's never been a problem) tells you all you need to know - not even a... A fantastic 5 day stay for my 60th, with breakfasts building up from one fruit compote and fresh fruit salad, to 4 dishes by the end of the week! Not to mention the cereals, toasts and home made preserves (4) - oh, and a vast array of hot food too. Amazing. Wendy and John the perfect hosts as noted elsewhere.... More

As has already been said in many other reviews, this is a lovely B & B. Excellent hosts, brilliant breakfast, a quirky building, great knowledge of the local area and things to do and lovely cakes in the afternoon. Would highly recommend. More
