After some of the drastic warnings on earlier reports, my wife and I were prepared for the worst. Staying on a Thursday night in the pre-festive season seemed doomed. However it was quiet and peaceful, clean, warm and perfectly alright with a comfortable bed. CCTV covered the car park and as well as my vehicle, there were a number of... more

Well, what can I say about this hotel? I stayed here for 3 nights, Sunday 11th Oct to Weds 14th Oct. Having looked at the Travelodge website when booking, they inculde a warning about Hen parties etc at weekends and a warning about noise from the nearby railway lines. So I was geared up for some possible noise on the... more

We used the hotel as a stop over as we were travelling long haul on a family holiday. The first room they gave us had toe nail lippings on the floor, no towels, no bed linen, the door was broken , had a brown stain all over the door and stank of the KFC across the road. I went to... more

Having read the previous reviews was some what nervous about staying here however we (family of 4) stayed 3 nights during the WEEK DAY and the hotel was fine. The rooms (family room) were clean and facilities all in working order. Being a Travelodge towls, pillows etc were a minimal but asking for extra was not a problem. Location wise... more

This has to be the centre of hell as far as Newcastle hotels are concerned! Having booked Lionel Richie tickets 4 of us decided to make a girlie weekend given the opportunity, and elected to go down to Newcastle on the Friday night, stay over, hit the shops on the Saturday and travel back up the road after the concert... more

Have stayed at this Travelodge before, about 7 months ago when we booked our wedding in Northumberland. I thought since the price was ok though not the cleanest place I've been we would stay again this time to sort out our wedding plans nearby. Paid £168 for three nights, arrived on Friday 3pm. It seemed quiet, only a couple of... more

Where to start? With the booking process. After an hour on the 'phone, the automated booking system (including 'phoning the dedicated hotel number which only returned you to the centralised system) still wouldn't let us book two rooms. E booking appeared to work, but given the 'phone idiocies,we weren't sure that when we turned up,there would be a room;stress. Arrival. A pay... more

Hotel was basic, as you'd expect, but clean and bed was comfortable. We had window open and the noise from the passing trains didn't disturb us. Staff were friendly and helpful! Right next to Frankie and Benny's and TGI Fridays so perfect for nipping across for something to eat! more

We have stayed here many times when visiting home from the USA. We expect the usual Stag and Hen party behaviours on weekends, however did not expect a hole in the wall from previous tenants and it was basic even by T/L standards (1 towel between 3 and 1 piece of soap for 4 nights). The final straw however was... more

Got a supersaver room at £15 a night. For that we got a family room with a comfortable bed and decent bathroom/shower. There was a TV, wireless internet (whih you have to pay for). For £15, thats excellent! I will always consider a Travelodge in the future as it provides the essentials for a more than essential price. Location of... more
