The Mon is strikely modern in architecture, design and decoration, and so makes a stunning contrast with its countryside setting in a valley next to a medievil monastery.
Recently built, it is very well equipped. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well furnished, and finished in a way I found to be very relaxing. The public areas continue in similar fashion.
This a +/- 80 room hotel presumably catering mostly to a business clientele in the week and to resort customers during the weekend. And the service does suffer from this. While each staff memeber is helpful and friendly, they can be sadly under-staffed at peak times.
There are two restaurants. The restaurant Mon only has an all-in menu, which while offering a value for money meal, does restricts choice. The four dish selection per course is fine for one dinner, but is too small if you eat there again a following evening.
