We had the joy of spending the night with Stewart and Rosie in the summer, enroute to Orkney. A lovely scottish manor house with long views, we were amazed by the size of our rooms and the quality of the furnishing. We stayed with Stewart and Rosie for 2 nights whilst competing in the Buccleuch challenge. Originally the estate factor's house the building is listed and they have renovated it beautifully. Their hospitality was second to none - the luxurious rooms and Scottish breakfasts helping us recover from our ordeal! We'll be back next year! Mike, James and Lee.

This is a lovely house set in beautiful grounds just outside the little village of Thornhill. The room we stayed in was first rate as was the magnificent bathroom. The dining room and sitting rooms were equally welcoming and it was great to be able to sit in front of a real log fire after a busy day of sight... More

I stayed at Holmhill for 3 nights and can't recommend it highly enough. It is a beautiful house with wonderful views of the hills. The room was lovely, bed and bathroom of the highest quality and the breakfast amazing. Rosie and Steve were really kind and helpful hosts, nothing was too much trouble. You must stay here.
