We booked 1 night at this hotel and paid £75. We booked direct with the hotel by phoning them. Another couple who we were with, booked through booking.com and paid £125 for their room. When we arrived at the hotel, the couple we were with complained of the difference in the price, and the hotel said there was nothing they...

We stayed one night at the New Inn after walking nearby. We arrived tired and filthy, but the staff were very accommodating. We sat down to a four course meal which was included in the price, as was the breakfast.
As another comment says, the place is a little tired and could do with some TLC, but the service was...

We stayed two nights in The New Inn Clapham & that was enough! The surrounding village & Dales location were gorgeous, it was just a shame the accommodation let down the end of our holiday. We arrived just after lunch & stayed in a ground floor disabled accessible room which from the outside looked cottage style, the inside was gloomy...

We last stayed at the New Inn last October - our fourth visit. Having read some pretty dreadful reviews, including one from some people who were there at the same time as us, I find it difficult to believe that we were at the same hotel. The rooms could certainly do with a little TLC, but they were clean, the bed...

Not as good as previous stays :( The food was not worth the price. The hotel was tired. Not a family atmosphere any more :(
Stayed here last night, 07/04/12. After some right mess up by the hotel and booking.com - I didn't get the room I actually booked. I originally booked the 4 poster bedroom, apparently that's no longer available, so was originally then offered a double room for the same price, £80. I refused and they dropped the price by £5 to £75...

Very poor value for money. Room was dated, scruffy, peeling wallpaper, dodgy wiring, black mould from previous leaks. The bedding is the cheapest quality and the towels frayed and thin. Food adequate with good portions - reasonable for the price but most of our party complained that their food was cold or lukewarm.
We have stayed in many B and...

I booked the New Inn for a group of friends for a walking weekend. It is in a lovely village on the edge of the Dales - the food was simple but well cooked with good portions after a hard days walking. The bedrooms need redecorating & a deep clean, they were ok but could be so much nicer and...
