We recently had a great experience at Club Hotel Casapueblo. While researching options, we contacted many nearby hotels but after talking with Freddy (with Group Sales) we decided to reserve a mid-size room block for our corporate incentive trip. From our initial contact through check-out, Freddy and his colleagues were professional, thorough, and courteous. We all were very impressed with... More

This would have to be the most extraordinary place we have ever stayed, with the possible exception of an underground motel in Coober Pedy, Central Australia. Built on the side of a cliff, the reception is on the top floor and the levels, nine in all, descend below (it is rather odd getting in a lift at reception and pressing... More

I arrived at this place as a surprise gift from my girlfriend. Arriving at the top you don't really fully appreciate the hotel, but you do have an incredible view. I suggest walking down to the bottom near the sea to look up! We arrived very early but were promptly checked in by a receptionist with fanastic English (after we... More

I saw this hotel online and thought it was something different and unusual. My expectations were exceeded when I arrived. Not only is it a hotel, but it's also a museum. The sunset views are amazing. Biggest tip is LISTEN to the front desk staff on where to eat. Going into Punta del Este and eating can be overcrowded and... More

It's nice to look at from the outside, but don't stay here. The place smells like cheap soap and the restaurant is bad. As I checked out 4 hours after check in, nobody seemed to care or question why I did so. I asked for a refund and never got one. Please don't waste your hard earned money here (I... More

Casapueblo is not for everyone, if anyone -- its a beautiful setting but very isolated from any restaurant or store, and the hotel provides no help (no transfers, no transportation to any town except your own walk down a long speedy highway, no activities, no beach access...only a a single uninspired very expensive restaurant on the premises), Everything costs extra... this hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever experience...maybe because we love UY!!!!!!. and there are very few English speaking people which just adds to the charm.. on our vacations, we try to find places where there are very few tourists...Yes there were many Argentines but basically beautiful and peaceful!!!

This is one of the most unique hotels that we have ever stayed at. The hotel owner is a famous artist who designed the hotel which is built into a cliff overlooking the ocean. The hotel is about a 10 minute car ride to Punta del Este. The sunsets each night are amazing from anywhere on the property. There are... More

We've been here a few times, alone and with friends. It's always a great visit. The building is amazing but showing it's age. We've not stayed at the hotel but have been in the rooms. They look fine. What everyone goes for is the sunsets. Priceless. Huge high veranda with bar overlooking the ocean as the sun goes down. If... More

The building is art work, very impressive. The rooms are spacious, clean and have balconies. We ate two dinners and a lunch in the hotel and liked the food and the presentation. The location is good as it's richt on the sea and south-west facing. The staff (at reception and in restaurant) is not unfriendly but generally disinterested in the... More
