My family and I went there for a two night stay, basically for the baseball hall of fame. We did go at a time when it was not busy at all. The lodge itself I believe is 2-3 years old and I felt like we were it's first guests. The rooms, the public areas, the lounges were above and beyond... more

The building and surrounding environs were so pretty and peaceful. The hotel owner, Steve was so friendly and we felt like we were visiting in a friend's home rather than a hotel. My husband and I are huge Phillies fans and were so excited to be visiting Cooperstown to see the Baseball Hall of Fame. We arrived at August Lodge at 9:15am. We just spent a week at August Lodge. The building and setting are beautiful, and the entire staff is most gracious. This is an especially great for a family with kids, lots of things to keep them happy. We will go back. more

WOW -- what a beautiful lodge. Spectacular views; the Sydney Suite was perfect for two couples. Bonfire at night added to the ambience -- and a way to meet other guests. Jaime and Steve were perfect hosts -- Phil too. This place is a gem.....only a 10 minute drive to Cooperstown, and wineries/breweries. Lots of outdoor space for the kiddies... more
