Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We just come back from a week at Domaine de la Grange. We stayed in the lLoft which was spacious for a family of 2adults and two teenagers. If you like peace and quiet in a stunning setting this is the place for you. The infinity pool is great and has breathtaking views. The grounds are very well kept, we walked to see the two panoramas & again the views were amazing. Loads of activities to do : gym, mini golf, boule, badminton, big chequers, pool table etc. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We are hoping to go back soon!

This was a wonderful place to stay. With access to all of the grounds, farmland, unspoilt woodland, and set in a very rural area, this is just a truly lovely place. Accommodation has been well designed and thought out, and no corners cut anywhere on the property from the cleanliness to the design of the pool (the views alone from the pool make it nice to be around whether you swim or not), gardens and lake. The owners were so welcoming that we felt like house guests rather than customers, and we felt at home immediately we arrived. If you like noise and nightlife, this isn't the place for you - if you want to experience lovely French countryside in quality surroundings with nothing more than birds, deer and a perfect and quintessentially French rural village nearby, then this is for you. Easy access by road to surrounding sites like the lovely Lac St Croix etc. I've one regret about this place, and that's that we could not have stayed for a month!

We stayed in the Loft, which is every bit as special as the pictures show; its large, bright and airy with stunning views across the scenic countryside. There are communal barbeque facilities which we used on several occasions, and a relaxing outdoor dining area with all the necessary utensils so you don't have to ferry to much back and forth from your apartment. There are some thoughtful touches - shan't spoil them for you - that have gone into making this place special and the owners and staff are available if you need them, but are unobtrusive. The pool area is great for those who enjoy just reading and relaxing, but if not there is plenty to do in the local area, with some great little villages for those long French lunches. My only constructive comments would be that my wife and I were suprised that we had to clean the apartment at the end of the vacation or else pay an additional fee to have it done for us; the accomodation being at the higher end of the market we felt it should have been included that said the owners were flexible on other costs during our stay, so I don't think they were trying to squeeze extra money, it just would have been helpful to know in advance or to include it in the all up cost. My only other comment is that it would be nice to have a few more english TV channels (mostly German and French - obviously) for those occasional times when you want to relax and a flat screen LCD wouldn't go a miss, as this seems to be the standard now in most high end resorts we visit. None of this though would stop me from thoroughly recommended the Domaine de la Grange as it really is an incredibly relaxing and tranquil place to get away form it all. Thanks to the owners for a great holiday experience.

We stayed here in July this year (2 adults and 2 young children) and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The property itself is stunning - a beautiful estate house which the owners live in and the rented accommodation which is in a converted barn (originally a silk worm factory!) in the most amazing setting, surrounded by rolling pastures. The accommodation is extremely well equipped with lots of extras that you usually don't find in self-catering accommodation and the thick stone walls keep the apartments lovely and cool. The property has a fabulous pool (which is blissfully peaceful with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside), a lake, and lovely walks. There are lots of lovely towns and villages to explore in the area and the beach is only a 40 minutes drive. What made our holiday so special was the owners - they are so friendly and helpful and made us feel like part of the extended family! Nothing is too much trouble (they gave us lots of baby equipment & toys without us even having to ask) and they go out of their way to make sure you have a fantastic time. After years of self-catering holidays, this was our best experience ever and we would go back in the morning!

We stayed at the Domaine for a week in July 2011. Having just spent 2 weeks in London it was in perfect contrast! Quiet, relaxing, hot a fabulous location away from the crazy crowds that hit the cote d'azure in summer. The surrounding villages are basic but quaint and perfect for your morning coffee/croissant and a meal in the evening. We are from NZ and were delighted that we had escaped the touristy south of France and were right in the thick of some beautiful french countryside. The highlight for us would have to be the amazing swimming pool at the Domaine. We lazed around on the sun loungers enjoying nothing but the sound of neighing donkeys and crickets (or were they frogs?!). My husband even hit some golf balls on the putting green as well as went running around the borders of the farm for some exercise (I was 5 months pregnant so lying by the pool suited me fine!). We stayed in the Loft and loved it. The hosts are excellent and more than willing to assist in an requests or needs you may have. Overall it was a superb relaxing week at the Domaine and we would definitely return for some quality quiet time and great hospitality.

We've just returned from our holiday to the Var area in France. We stayed at Domaine de la Grange, which is about an hours drive from Nice airport. The property is really amazing. Basically its a massive domaine where the owners live in a beautifully restored property on the site and the old 'barn' has also been beautifully restored into 4 apartments. There is a great pool area and the property has a lake, driving range, terrace area for barbeques etc. We stayed in the Loft apartment which was huge. Its more like a honeymoon apartment but we had our 6 month old baby with us. It had everything we needed, especially with the baby there - dishwasher, microwave etc. The owners are really great, Daphne in particular was brilliant lending us toys for the baby etc. We didn't even bring our buggy as she offered hers. Id totally recommend this property. Its really relaxed, quiet and in a stunningly beautiful area.

Wow this place is amazing, it situated in the heart of the french region Provence. After quite a frightening drive up the mountain roads you reach the 'Domaine de la Grange'. The grounds are beautiful, the owners breed horses and run three apartments. On the grounds there is a lake for fishing, a driving range (we could never find all those golf balls!), an infinity swimming pool and a barbeque area. The owners provide daily fresh eggs, veggies and herbs all from the premises and were always happy to provide anything we needed. We stayed in the 'Loft' apartment, which is a huge studio apartment with an indian style, check the website for pictures :). Such a peaceful place to stay for chilling and recouperation, with some pretty traditional towns nearby. A short distance away is the Gorge du Verdon and Lac Ste Croix which are not to be missed. We even went canoeing down the rapids of the Verdon, an adrenaline rush for definite! The property is close enough to visit the coast. Great accommodation, fantastic setting and the owners and staff were lovely. Would definetly visit again.
