We stayed here in January 2013. Can't complain about the location and the quiet atmosphere but that is about it. However...and putting besides our foreign exchange purchasing power and our combined Swiss/Australian standards. The food quality is mediocre and over priced when compared to the quality. For the most part, the seafood is not really fresh (more processed quality that... More

Blue Cove was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing parts of my trip to the Philippines. To preface, I wouldn’t highly recommend Blue Cove if you are seeking a spacious, Western-style resort. If simplicity isn’t your thing, spend the money and go elsewhere. That said, if you’re looking to escape the world, Blue Cove is perfect. The staff was... More

First of all, the beach: a five-foot wide strip of sand, then rocks--rocks as far out as you can wade, all of it choked with seaweed. Awful. My room was in the newly completed building, which is solid construction with two tiny windows and no cross-ventilation--it was almost impossible to sleep. But the piece de resistance was the food, which,... More

First of all, this review is for the accommodation and service only. The resort is lucky to be placed in such an amazing island, and this is the only reason I would recommend it. We simply spent our whole days outside kayaking, snorkeling and swimming and therefore had a great time anyway. To review the accomodation, expect A LOT of... More

We were very pleased to spend a part of our vacations in a seaview bungalow (1500 pesos per day) in the Blue Cave Resort. By arrival the nephew of the new owner informed us that the booked and already paid bungalow is still under construction and we must take very small bungalow (1200 pesos per day), the difference of the... It was such an AMAZING place to relax and have a romantic getaway with someone really special, I came here with my boyfriend and the privacy of the island made it more romantic for us. the room where we stayed at was facing the ocean which gave us a very relaxing view.i would definitely recommend this place to my friends... The setting is quie lovely. Our room was comfortable enough, but it was basically a nipa hut. It was a big nipa hut with a tiled bathroom, but still, it was a nipa hut going for 1500 pesos. Food was generally good. I especially like the fish and chips. We quickly discovered that portions were big enough for two to... More

Beautiful cove location but beach is slightly difficult for swimming (as many beaches in Palawan) because it's long and shallow and there are sharp rocks (you need flip-flops). Transport from Puerto Princesa by van + boat was expensive but convenient. Houses are quite nicely built and there are only a couple of them so it's all peaceful and quiet. Restaurant... More

The location of the resort is amazing. We stayed for 4 days. Rooms are basic, bamboo construction, and cold water. But what else do you need?On the beach front listening to the waves on the beach. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only gripe is the food was crap. So after 4 days the menu starts to get a bit... More

We had a hell of a time getting to Blue Cove Island via San Vicente - the bus took much longer than expected and we arrived about 3-4 hours after the time we said we would. But the boat guy from Blue Cove waited for us at the dock and we were extremely grateful for this service. Blue Cove Island... More
