I have been staying here for many years, mainly for business but also for pleasure. The warm hospitality and thoughtfulness shown by Frances is second to none. The building itself is full of character and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It really feels like a home away from home. The fabulous breakfast that Frances prepares is the best I... More

This charming B&B is in the delightful village of Colyton and is handy for the beautiful Jurassic Coast and local resorts such as Sidmouth, Lyme Regis and Seaton. The tram for Seaton begins here and passes through Colyford. Great for birdwatchers! The Old Bakehouse is a sympathetically restored old building, with further upgrading of the bathrooms in progress to make... More

We have been staying at The Old Bakehouse for many years & always have a wonderful stay. Frances is so thoughtful & literally thinks of everything. The little extras really set it apart from other establishments such as the supply of fresh milk, plentiful tea & coffee, the availability of tumble drier & the beautiful guest lounge. The rooms are tastefully... We have been staying at The Old Bakehouse for several years now, two if not three times each year. We're always assured of a very warm welcome from Frances, the owner, who has created a superbly comfortable & homely 'B & B', where nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are delightful & the breakfasts delicious. Guests have the added... More

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. All aspects of our stay were faultless. Clean rooms , plenty of towels for all the family, ample tea , coffee etc, with the added bonus of a fridge for fresh milk just along the corridor. We all had a comfortable... More

I have visited The Old Bakehouse on many occasions over the past ten years-usually to chill out-never disappointed. Very informative website. Frances puts a lot of thought and effort into ensuring that her guests are well catered for-nothing is ever too much trouble. Her cooked breakfasts are superb. More

We were looking for a nice place to have a quiet relaxing couple of days away to recharge our batteries, the Old Bakehouse was recommended to us by a friend, so we thought we would give it a go. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Frances (the owner) who made us feel so at home and it... More

We spent one night here and it was wonderful. Very friendly, comfy and clean. Nice with parking possibility, good breakfast and it was good situated on our way to Conrwall. I can really recommend "the Cobblers" across the street for dinner as well. More

Wow, what a stay, what a location, ...and what a breakfast!!!!! From the moment we set foot in the Old Bakehouse we were made to feel at home, and for those with children, you will know how comforting that is. Frances (owner) is so much more than accommodating, she brings a warmth and happiness to this beautiful old building, and... More

We could not have asked for any better service. The owner is the most accommodating and warm person. The Old Bakehouse is around 400 years old, with many original features. Due to the age of the property you can't expect it to have all the mod cons but this is more than made up for with outstanding cleanliness and comfort.... More
