This was a great place to stay. We came to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary and couldn't have chosen better. The rooms were lovely, service was fantastic, very friendly atmosphere. Food was good quality and locally sourced. Decorated beautifully

Went to The George a couple of nights ago and was impressed. Got a good feeling as soon as I walked in, a real pub atmosphere which was great. We went for a meal, rather than a drink or to stay, and it was on recommendation from both here and by friends. The food was very good actually, well priced... More

Following a boiler issue which meant we had to evacuate our home, we checked into The George Inn which was to be our temporary home for a few days. A warm welcome awaited us in the form of Jane and John who manage to be the perfect hosts. We stayed in 'Pooke' which had picture postcard views across the village,... More

The weekend was an early birthday present and, if I am completely honest, the Inn was very much the 'after-thought' for me - the main event being a visit to the Wealden Times Winter Fair in nearby Kent. Sad to say for the Wealden organisers, the market was a wash-out...the heavens had opened and most of the visitors were soon... More

We stopped at this Inn on our way to the Channel Tunnel and our holiday in France, in order to visit the gardens at Sissinghurst and Great Dixter. Overall, it was a most enjoyable stay. Robertsbridge is a quiet and largely unspoilt village on the A21 about 15 miles north of Hastings. As the main road has been diverted around... More

We spent a long weekend in East Sussex and stayed at The George for 2 nights. We stayed in the Bamfylde room (the rooms are all named after prominent figures in the Inn's history). We were very happy with the room, lovely decor which incorporated period furniture alongside tasteful modern touches such as the monsoon shower. The bed was huge... More

My husband and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary at the The George on the 31st October, we have eaten in the restaurant before and recommended it to others. This time we had a wonderful upgraded room and our dinner and breakfast could not be faulted. We were made to feel welcome on arrival by the bar staff and very... More

We were visiting the Carr Taylor vineyard near Hastings. This was one of the B&B's recommended by the vineyard. The George Inn is run by a husband and wife team that live next door. They have refurbished the Inn over the past few years - starting with the bar and restaurant before moving onto the four rooms upstairs. The bar... More
