This B&B is located in a beautiful old stone house on a rambling farm on N81. The room was comfortable and clean and the line-dried linen smelled wonderful. Eileen was our gracious hostess, and provided lovely insight on where to eat and what to do in County Wicklow. She also gave excellent advice on timing to the airport so we... more

Friendly owners, large clean rooms, delicious breakfast and tea biscuits served on arrival. Our reservation was lost so the hostess didn't know we were coming. Since it was low season, she happily accommodated us for the rate we originally reserved for. (This B&B does not change rates with low/high season). Nice farm area owned by proprietors where you can take... more

We stayed here as couldn't find any accommodation in the Glenalough area open over the winter and saw the high recommendation of the property on trip advisor. Eileen really was a great hostess, and the room we stayed in was huge, with a beautiful large bed and great views. We were absolutely shattered when we arrived, and Eileen wasn't fussing... more

On a recent trip to Ireland, we stayed at Knockruehouse about 40 minutes outside of Dublin in the countryside. The proprietor, Eileen Allen, was welcoming and a very gracious hostess. The B&B is part of a farm, lovely, and the house is over 250 years old. The rooms were spacious and breakfast was excellent. We loved it and were served... more

We loved this beautiful Georgian home! Our hostess, Eileen, was so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, especially Eileen's homemade raspberry jam. The rooms are huge and so gracious, with high ceilings, nice furniture (some antique) and lovely views of the working farm. Don't miss this place! It's only about a 20 minute drive to Glendalough Monastery, and the... more

We found this beautiful B&B through a friend. We managed to get to the house very easily from Dublin airport and arrived at night time (following a very delayed Ryanair flight!!) The owner, Eileen, had a big pot of tea waiting for us and gave us a very warm welcome. When we awoke we were delighted to see we were... more

We stayed one night at Knockrue House on our driving trip across southern Ireland. We absolutely loved it. The house was beautiful, the location was breathtaking and the owner could not have been nicer or more helpful. We stayed in a family room which had plenty of space, an en-suite bathroom, and great views of two directions of the Wicklow... more

I wanted my family to stay some where nice for the easter weekend, and I did not fancy a big boring hotel, so i surfed the web and found Knockrue house in Wicklow. So we drove down from Dublin. Got a great welcome, big plate of fresh scones and a big pot of tea. I have two young children age... more

Okay, it has been nearly a year since our trip to Europe, but there is one experience that stands out bright in my memory, and that is our gorgeous stay in County Wicklow, just south of Dublin. I stumbled across this B&B while net searching for accommodation, and I'm sooo glad that I did. The owner is a lady by... more
