We stayed over a weekend in June 2008 and enjoyed a quiet and relaxed weekend. Our expectations of this type of place have been fully met at Castlecoote House. We stayed in the Percy French Suite, the largest room in the house with second bedroom and spacious bathroom. Room is very large, clean (as is the entire house) and has great view onto the remains of the original castle walls. We were also able to view the other rooms during a tour of the house and while they're smaller, they're equally furnished and equipped with good taste. The owner was unfortunately away that weekend, so we had no opportunity to meet him, however, Jeffrey and his wife were looking after us with great attention and care. The food served was of excellent quality and very delicious. Castlecoote House has large gardens surrounding it and it's an ideal place to stroll around the ground and simply relax.
