Recently had our wedding at the Ardenode and couldn't recommend it enough for a wedding or event. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful people ever. All of our guests loved the house and loved that it was so different from your average hotel with lots of character and beautifully kept gardens. We have amazing photos of the grounds.... More

It was very hard to get in contact with this hotel. Despite messages and emails they never returned our messages to get directions after we booked. The rooms was very old fashioned, basic and not cleaned thoroughly. The breakfast was cold despite a huge buffet of food presented. Very disappointing. Lovely exterior though!

We had our Wedding reception here in April. We had family with young babies and children and all the other usual family and friends at the wedding. We were all very well catered for and looked after. The gardens are fabulous and a new enclosed playground was built just six months before the wedding ( where we put all the... More

May I express my utter disappointment at the standard of our accommodation at a wedding here this month. We assumed we had a double room including a double bed, not 2 single beds pushed together. I am 20 weeks pregnant and found this very uncomfortable and kept waking up because I was falling between the 2 beds. We could not... More

Stayed here for one night in October. Staff were very friendly to us - we were a large group taking several rooms - dining and bar facilities were closed for the evening but looked quite nice and modern in style. All of the rooms that I saw appeared to be pretty small in size, though reasonably well appointed. Some small... More
