We got married here last september. Everything went great - all the staff were so friendly and helpful and Terry the General Manager was really hands on, always there to make sure everything was going well. It really felt like home for the weekend. We were turely happy with it. Only 2 small things didn't go exactly to plan :... more

We got married in the Stone House, Moyvalley on 13th Nov, 2009 and has our reception in Balyna House, Moyvalley. They are both just amazing. If you are looking for something different, romantic, amazing and fairytale like this is the place to go. The whole setting is wonderful. The wedding co-ordinators are excellent and all the staff were just so... more

Kildare already has the Newbridge Museum, the National Stud and the Japanese Gardens. Now there is a new attraction that represents all that was crazy about hotel developments in Ireland over the last 10 years. The Moyvalley Hotel is like a white elephant in the middle of nowhere. It's large, sprawling, empty and soulless. With purpose built apartments opposite the... more

Having recently stayed in the Moyvalley Hotel, I would just like to say that the weekend break was excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, no such thing as breakfast finishing at ten on the button, they did ever so much to accomodate you, should you rise that bit later from the night before. I... more

Stayed here this weekend just gone and had a lovely relaxing time. The hotel was very quiety but that's to be expected at this time of the year. Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean and with a big bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the curtins are quite heavy, great for blocking out light. The hotel's setting is gorgeous,... more

Hi I saw the website and was really taken by the beautiful pics. I stayed in the hotel - not in a cottage. I thought the hotel had a celtic tiger property builder feel to it. The food was lovely but not overly amazing. the biggest gripe I'd have was that the wedding atmosphere was poor - the bride and... more

We just held our wedding reception in Balyna House at Moyvalley Hotel. Our guests availed a range of accommodation ranging from the luxury rooms in the period mansion to 2 bedroom cottages and apartments. The rooms were luxuriously furnished in Balyna House and very comfortably furnished elsewhere. The cottage / apartment option was popular both with parents of young children... more
