We stayed here our first 3 nights in Ireland. It was an ideal location for visiting Dublin, Newgrange, Hill of Slane, Mellifont Abbey, etc. The couple who owned Flemingtown House were very hospitable and friendly. The food was good, although not homemade. Still our overall stay was very positive and I would recommend it. The only negative was that it... More

We had a wonderful stay at Flemingtown House. Kay is a terrific hostess and cook - and her husband, Richard, is right there helping. A great couple, very friendly. It's a very large house, so you don't feel like you're intruding. Loved the lounge and the pool table! And seeing thoroughbred horses out the window is a real plus. One... More

I stayed at Flemingtown House for the first night, and the last night of my trip. It is very nicely located near the airport, and also near some of the best sightseeing we saw in Ireland (recommended by Kay & Mike, the B&B owners). The breakfast was great, served in a very classy dining room. Our room was spacious, and... More

My husband and I spent two nights at Flemingtown house and have nothing but praise. First of all, the place is just beautiful, it's a racehorse farm surrounded by other farms. The interior is quite pretty as well. Our welcome was warm and our room was comfortable and cozy. Michael is an excellent cook, probably one of the best traditional... More

My husband and I stayed at Flemingtown House in March of this year (2009). We so much enjoyed our visit there -- the house is large but comfortable, our room was spacious and comfortably furnished. The best part was our hosts -- Kay and Mike are down to earth, warm and friendly people. We felt right at home there, and... More

Our party of four arrived at Bayside just before dinner time, therefore were in need of recommendations for a restaurant for supper. We were directed to a binder of local establishments, from which we chose the County Club, which eventually was recommended by the son of the owner(?). Flemingtown House was Large. I'm not sure how many rooms they had... More

We chose to stay here because they are pet friendly, which is rare in the Dublin area. We travel with two small dogs and they were allowed sleep in our room with us (in their own doggy beds obviously). The house is lovely, a big old fashioned home surrounded by fields of racehorses. The room was comfortable, with a double... More

This was the second time my family has stayed at the Flemingtown House B&B and once again really enjoyed it. Its rooms are always well turned out and when of our party decided on the day of arrival he needed his own room the owners shuffled the pack and found us two adjoining rooms. as has been said before the... My mother and I chose Flemingtown House largely for its convenient location, but it turned out to be much more than that. The house itself is lovely (see the photo), and our room was very comfortable (we enjoyed watching the horses from the large windows). The breakfasts, despite what an earlier review has said, were excellent -- delicious full Irish... More
