Tuxpan Veracruz is not exactly a high profile tourist destination. This port was at once one of Mexico´s top petroleum sea ports and now is a charming small port with character.
Most of the hotels in town where we had stayed before were at least 40 years old with few renovations (if any) made since they were open. Tuxpan was not the highlight of any of our business trips... until recently!
The Holiday Inn Tuxpan opened just a couple of months ago and once you are at the hotel it takes a few minutes to understand that you are at a Holiday Inn location since this one is so different from any other Holiday Inn.
The architecture is modern and contemporary. One of a kind building nested on top of concrete mango trees! Yes, I know it sounds funny but that is the way it is! Ultra modern architecture and Barcelona chairs, air conditioning that works perfectly, free wireless internet all over the hotel,
