A very simple hotel stuck in the 60s - outdated furniture and an outdated bathroom, the hotel is clean but needs immediate renovation. We were there one night, the hotel has an adjacent and clean beach. The hotel staff is very nice

Large hotel with an 80s/90’s vibe - large public spaces, public as well as private balconies, long corridors. Directly opposite the (sandy) life-guard monitored beach and a couple of minutes drive from the ferry terminal, it’s very well located whether you’re passing through or sticking around. Superior rooms are very spacious indeed, as are their balconies overlooking the sea. Breakfast-only when we stayed, but it’s a short walk left to the town strip of tavernas, or even shorter if you turn right to a side street backing onto the sea with places like the excellent Mone Mone. And no, as some reviewers have commented, the hot water isn’t exactly scalding but it’s perfectly acceptable, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

We recommend this hotel highly. Very clean and cozy room, comfortable bed, great bonus - a balcony with a fantastic view (and you can dry your swimming suits there), fruit in the fridge for refreshment, wonderful breakfast bar, neat garden in the front to chill in the morning or at night with drink service and soft music, great beach right in front of the hotel, friendly personnel... Overall, an excellent choice for a relaxing vacation in this charming little town. Absolutely worth the drive from Athens.

We had to ask them for two days to fix the hot water in our room. The ac did not function properly and the room at times was either too hot or too cold. The food was below average. The facilities were not maintained properly and there was an issue with the overall cleanliness of the hotel. Only the service was good.

We stayed 2 nights at Limamare and were happy with our choice. Location: Across the beach (separated by road), very close to port (ferry boat to Kythira), and right next to all the restaurants and cafes (ok, there are not many in Neapolis). Were given an upgrade, with sea view, that was wonderful! Balcony great for afternoon relaxation, view on the sea is lovely. Room: Very clean, with mini fridge and TV. Size of room acceptable. Lighting good. Socket on one side of the bed. Sufficient closet space, with drawers. (No safe, no complimentary water, no bathrobes or slippers). Bed mattress was ok, but could be better. A/C needs to be changed. There was no noise from the street, but unfortunately, a lot of noise from other hotel guests who lack sense of respect and politeness towards others, yelling around early in the morning as they walk through the hallway. Bathroom: Very clean, bathtub with shower (good pressure), complimentary 2 shampoo bottles and 2 shower gel bottles; 2 towels/person; hair dryer. Breakfast: Buffet, not a huge variety of warm dishes, but delicious and constantly refilled (espresso/cappuccino machine); no egg station. Some options for vegetarians, but unfortunately, ingredients are not signed out. Parking: The hotel has its own parking, I think, but there’s also public parking (free) across the hotel. Staff: Wonderful, always with a smile and always helpful Overall, price was acceptable (55 E/night, mountain view, with breakfast).

Old style hotel, rooms are not renovated (at least ours), bathroom with tub and curtain, not convenient to shower 4 persons every day. Lobby abd breakfast are OK but not in line with the price paid. One lift was working for the 3 days we stayed there, not enough to serve all the rooms. No stairs going to the garage too, always wasting time waiting for the lift. Position is good, in front of the sea and Neapolis is a good base to visit Laconia. To summarize: get it only if price is really reasonable otherwise better to look for a better alternative

It is a representative old designed hotel with very large areas in resection, corridors restaurants etc. The 4 bed room was the biggest -2 rooms- we have ever visit. The view back to garden was not the great. Huge parking area with basement also. The entrance and front yeards were modern renovated. The same needed for rooms. It was very clean. Buffet Breakfast was normal with choises. Could be better. The front see view rooms are recommended. All these for 100 euro high season is really value for money.

If you happen to travel to South Peloponnesus in Greece close to Cavo Maleas and the little town Neapolis which is also a get away for Kythira island and Elafonisos your best bet for a decent stay with genuine hospitality is Limira Mare! A privately owned hotel that is still run with much love from 2 sisters, Effie and Mary, who have given their heart and soul at the property! The staff is generally helpful but I must especially mention Yiannis, a waiter at the bar who knows extremely well how to treat the hotel guests! He is knowledgeable as nice trying to help everyone with any kind of request Tina or Toula at reception is also a good professional! Yes, some rooms need some changes as the hotel was built some time ago, but it is very clean, its cuisine during lunch has basic but very tasty dishes ( the restaurant is not open for the evening but there are plenty of restaurant choices close by) There is good choice at the breakfast buffet with some local specialties as well, which is included in the room price! I would only add more yogurt choices! Very convenient location in front of a nice beach not so crowded and with umbrellas in case you want some shade or drinks! Overall, a nice value for money hospitable experience
