Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a family celebration at Mere Brook booking the main house which included the 4 bedrooms and reception rooms . From the moment we met Russell and the team they made us feel totally welcome . Everything they could do to ensure our evening was special was done in a professional manner but with a warmth that made the whole event relaxed. The house is a very special place to hold an event and all the staff were amazing. The team went out of there way to ensure any specific requests we had could be accommodated .They offered flexible packages for catering and drinks so we could tailor things to our needs. This is an amazing location with an amazing team .They helped to make what was an emotional evening as special as we could have hoped .

Property's Favourite Review
Staying here for two nights for a family wedding provided a much needed and much welcomed break away from everything. A particularly gorgeous location with pleasant rural surroundings, just down the road from a beautiful village. The food served for breakfast was absolutely superb, with excellent vegetarian substitutes, and the other amenities available are all great. The bed was perfectly comfortable, and being in such a quiet location, there were zero interruptions from traffic or other noises. The staff were incredibly welcoming and down-to-earth, ensuring you felt perfectly attended to. I would struggle to recommend anywhere else nearby when such a wonderful B&B exists.

A very unique place of high quality, high cleanliness and comfort. Even though its a little bit self service it made a change to the clinical hotels we all often use. Well worth a stay and highly recommended. Even though no evening catering there are plenty of good restaurants around.

What a beautiful place. Nestled in the Wirral countryside this magnifent cottage is everything you could ever wish for and beyond. 4 magestic bedroom's all furnished with an ensuite. The vintage but regal feel mixed with a modern twist. The grounds are beautiful with an outside space for guests to use. Highly recommended!

What a discovery , we thought we kew all about the Wirral , until we saw this superb accomodation , Ample parking , the FLORA room we stayed in was EXCEPTIONAL to where we have been before and we have had Luxury Accomodation before. You need to go and try this place as their are more things to it, a Barbeque ,an outside Bar area , We had our own Patio to the garden area , the Flora room . The Price is Far better also than most others , the Area Thornton Hough , upmarket as expected .

Lovely hidden gem. Room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious though some alternative options would have been great. Such as poached eggs on toast or maybe some mackerel etc. It would also have been lovely to have some home made cake on offer as we have experienced at other establishments. Plus the biscuits were not replaced at all on the second day . A fridge in your own rooms would also have been useful. Overall we felt the stay was lovely. Very welcoming and a beautiful house and grounds. To warrant 5 stars these few added touches would have been great.

Really quaint house with lovely grounds. Warm welcome and a lovely tray of tea offered in the lounge. Room had lots of character, my only annoyance was banging my toe on the very low wooden bed, although I appreciate it is in keeping with the decor. Quiet overnight except the noisy revellers returning back. Really like the information on the history of the building. Breakfast was ok, had better if I was honest. Only one fruit option, but a decent traditional toaster! which having stayed all over the world is a bonus. Overall a nice stay and would stay again.
