Absolutely beautiful site, the small village is on top of an outcrop overlooking the farmlands below. The Chateau is at the end of the promontory, so you are looking out over miles of the French countryside. Your first view as you come down the narrow village road is of the old tower and gate house. The elegant facade in the pictures faces the valley. Once you pass through the gates you are faced with a large courtyard with the main building to your left looking very much like an 18th Century Manor. Ahead is a large reflecting pool and fountain and beyond is THE VIEW. Even the house cat greeted us. There was a large, covered area where wedding parties, etc. could be hosted. The guest rooms are on the upper floor. The ground floor having a nice restaurant, a library, and the breakfast rooms. Our room was a nice size, fully appointed bathroom, a fireplace (electric but still romantic), large bed and LED mood lighting. The window looked out into the forest that runs up the hill. We enjoyed dinner in front of the huge medieval fireplace, and they even lit a fire in it for the few guests at the time. When the sun set, fog settled in which spoiled the view but allowed me to get some interesting pictures of the building.

This has been the most disappointing stay we ever have had. We had booked two nights but had to leave after one night due to bugs everywhere. We arrived late and had booked a table in the restaurant. The restaurant was pretty full and there were 2 very young men to serve us. Everything went wrong We had ordered a pretty good wine, when it finally came it was warm. If I have to write everything what happened I won’t be ready for Christmas It really was like being a guest at Fawlty towers. I did write the owner but haven’t heard back from her. Don’t spend your money here only if you fancy getting a bug in your morning coffee. The morning restaurant was filled with bugs crawling all over When we checked out nobody asked why. The staff seems like they don’t care. Too bad it is a very nice castle from the outside but don’t get fooled by it.

The place was seriously lacking in maintenance and general upkeep. Iur room was dirty and the bathroom stinking of black mold. They advertise as pet friendly, but pets are not allowed in any communal areas such as restaurant or library. As for EV charging, it was a standard outdoor outlet, which provided a whopping 10% in the course of 12 hours. For the price of €15. After we had waited for quite a while, we were advised that the restaurant was out of basically everything except for gazpacho (strained tomatoes with soggy pieces of toast) and risotto, which turned out to be a hard ball of half cooked barley smothered in Dijon mustard. As opposed to what they write on their website, there is nothing luxurious or gourmet about a stay there. On their website they do write that the dining experience is a sort of theatre. To an extent I agree, we felt we were in a reenactment of Fawlty Towers.

We spent one night in this beautiful chateau hotel. We received a wonderul welcome where we were given an introduction to the history of the chateau which is incredibly beautiful architecturally and has lovely grounds and is perched high above the rolling surrounding countryside. Our room was very nice with shower and bath. The restaurant experience was unique and probably something we will always remember. The setting was a medieval hall and we wereseated in front of the fire. The new chef is very good. My filet of veal with carrots cooked 3 ways was incredibly tender. The maitre d'hotel/waiter was charming and recommended a very good local wine. The little "taster" between courses were very nice. Our breakfast was copious and very good. There is really nothing to fault except ( and this is a very personal comment) was the choice of music in the restaurant. Charles Trenet and Edith Piaf no doubt are popularwith foreign tourists. We would have prerred some 1920 jazz or some Gershwin...which would have bee the music that Miss Skinner (the American lady) who saved this chateau would have no doubt enjoyed!

Hotel is dated and needs a makeover. Showers are awful. Plenty of cleanliness issues throughout including and especially above the beds! €40 for an additional rollaway bed is a joke. Breakfast for €15 ... only small selection of items. Hotel is trying to be something that it clearly can not be. Dont waste your money here. Find another chateau.

This was a pleasant surprise. We travelled with another couple who had stayed here before and we tried it again. Really nice place, the superior rooms are big and clean, staff is very helpful. If you stay here, have dinner here – you will be in for a treat! Excellent food, even though the portions are not that big (we are in France!). The wine list is very good and on its way to get even better according to the head waiter/sommelier.

Very nice chateau, a place of silence. Rooms are outdated, but that can be expected from an old chatau. The bathroon/toilet did not smell fresh and a hair was found in the bed, and an empty chcolate warp in one of the drawers. The Cleaning lady did a fast cleaning job after the previous guests. The service was very good.

My friend and I were just driving by from Paris to Luxembourg. Then we found this beautiful Castle on Booking.com. We were super surprised, not only because of the location, or the Chateau but mostly because of the unbelievable friendly staff which took care of us. We were so amazed that we stayed another night and joined the special dinner. A really recommendable and unique experience.
