We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay at Blackwoods. It was convenient to all park activities and to Bar Harbor. The campground is rustic and quiet with beautiful pine trees. Stayed 8 nights here with my wife and son, and had a nice time. We were comfortable enough that we could have stayed another month in our little tent. Bathrooms are large and very clean, no bugs! No showers, but 1 mile outside of the campground there is pay showers($1.50 for 4 minutes, plenty of time and always very hot... more

What a gem...just minutes from the coast, including Thunder Hole is this wonderful clean, spotless camp site. Well organized, quiet & clean. We so enjoyed lighting a fire at the end of our day of exploring the island and listening to the crackle of the fire. Restrooms were just a stroll away. Awesome! more
