I like national park lodges even if they are old. Our room was on the small side and basic, but it was well maintained and clean. We were it the main lodge where rooms are on the second floor. The lodge is a 3 minute walk from the rim of the canyon and beautiful vistas. Price was good for a... More

It's in a fantastic location, a few minutes' walk from the rim of Bryce Canyon. Sure, the same level of comfort would be much cheaper elsewhere, but you're paying for the location. The cabins themselves are fine, but they lack air conditioning and are shared with other guests (who have their own entrance). The offerings of the dining room, however,... More

The two main lodging options near Bryce are the Lodge (reviewed here) and Ruby's Inn just a mile outside the park. I stayed one night at each and found the Bryce Lodge to be the better experience by far. The cabin accommodations are basic but certainly adequate. The beds were firm, the shower was hot, and the gas fireplace was... More

Be prepared, this is a pretty rustic setting. In a short walk you are at the edge of Bryce Canyon which is breathtaking. However, the room is pretty basic with no Internet access or television. There is wifi in the lobby only. That being said, it is wonderfully quiet and you can't beat the location. We did not eat in... More

This is a nice place but grossly overrated. They proudly state that the lodge is "listed on the National History Register." I don't doubt that because it seemed like the cabin I stayed in has not been refurbished since the 50's. The fireplace still works. The surrounding area is serene. The location is convenient.

The lodges at Zion & Bryce, as at most natonal parks, have a large draw for the scenery, but fewer repeat visitors than most hotels. Therefore, this can be exploited---rooms will be filled anyway, and most won't return even if good service & rates. Zion Lodge provides excellent facilities and service, Bryce Canyon Lodge does not. A clean but dated... More

We stayed in their Sunrise Building. It was private, quiet, well decorated and in a great location within Bryce Canyon National Park. It did NOT feel like a typical motel room. We recommend requesting a second floor room, simply for the added privacy when siting on your balcony after a tiring day of hiking. Bryce Canyon Lodge's Sunrise Building is... More

We had visited Bryce Canyon briefly several years ago, and said that we must stay at the lodge the next time we visited. What a great idea. We stayed in the Sunrise complex (room 107) and found it very cozy and practical. The deck was nice and we sat out there and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The rim is... More

Having visited many national parks in the west and having stayed at many parks lodges, I can safely say that this lodge beat my expectations. It is not classic in a timeless (aka tired) sense but is modern, roomy and convenient to the Park's attractions. While some may complain about the lack of television in the room or having to... More

This Lodge is the best facility in the area - and our very unfortunate experience was that they know it and gave us awful service. The front desk staff were very off-hand and unhelpful - why make a big deal of me not knowing the state and year of registration of my hire car when I did know the make... More
