Wouldn't stay there again but if we want to visit the National Park again, we have no other choice since this was a lot cheaper than Furnace Creek Resort and the Furnace Creek Inn. Paid $100.52 / night + tax for 2 nights in the Cottonwoods section, room #52. 2 doors down from the restaurant and right across the lobby... more

Our trip to DV was a very enjoyable experience for our family. Stovepipe Wells Village was a nice place to call home during our visit. I really didn't know what to expect. I read so many mixed reviews on TripAdvisor. We wanted two nights, away from it all, with our 4 and 6 year old children. What a beautiful destination!... more

We moved here for a two-night stay from Furnace Creek Ranch, where we had spent three nights. This facility is more basic than the Ranch and doesn't seem to be as well run. First, the good stuff. The location is ideal if you want to be within a couple of minutes' drive from the Mesquite Flat sand dunes. It's also... more

This was a great place to stay. The most important point for us was that it was pet-friendly. Everyone was so sweet and friendly. The rooms were clean and cozy. The restaurant was inviting and the staff was attentive. The food was also tasty. Great value. more

After a long drive from Lake Tahoe, we had a choice to stay in Bishop, Lone Pine or Death Valley NP. We were so pleased we decided to keep going and stayed at Stovepipe Wells as staying in Death Valley NP is an unforgettable experience. We entered the NP at sunset which presented mindblowing scenery. We reached Stovepipe wells just... more

Location, location, location! If you want to have the incredible experience of an overnight inside the park, the Stovepipe Wells Village is a very nice choice. The other available lodging option inside the park is Furnace Creek, where we had a chance of passing by the following day, but I personally did not find it as cozy and characteristic as... more

August In Death Valley.... what to say...... HOT! VERY HOT! The hotel, old west way, was very nice (a little expensive and over-valued, but was the only one open inside the park). We stayed at the 49's block, the room was simple, big and basic. The night for me was terrible, because of the heat (I don't like AC), but... more

We have stayed at all of the places in Death Valley, but this was our first time at Stovepipe Wells. It will be our last. The place is completely generic, but not up to the normal generic Holiday Inn or Days Inn generic. Xanterra needs some real help here. The staff is all friendly enough, and they surely do try... more

Stovepipe Wells Village met all expectations. Isolated, general store and petrol station on one side of the road and the hotel opposite - and HOT!!!!! We stopped for one night on the way from Las Vegas to Yosemite. Good value accommodation. We upgraded our room which was in the Roadrunner block (beep beep!!!!). We had air conditioning, a fridge and... more
