Based on previous reviews, I expected the worst. Still not great (clean but worn and the restaurant food left a lot to be desired). This was part of a Celebrity cruisetour and I think they should do better. More

Beautiful hotel, great views of area. Shuttle to "downtown" which is at bottom of hill. Downtown consists of a number of gift shops, a few small restaurants/coffee shops. Restaurant at Grand Denali is pricey, but then most everything in Alaska is expensive. More

The winding gravel road in the shuttles is a bit steep, but the view is nice at the hotel. The shuttles run quite a bit, even from the restaurants back up which was convenient. We have stayed in several national park hotels since 2009.... Dunraven in Yellowstone and Zion Lodge. Grande Denali Lodge is just as good or better. It has several bldgs with rooms, which were full and yet quiet. I would happily stay there again. Beautiful view. We stayed 2 nights as part of a land tour prior to a cruise. There is not much to choose from out here in the wilderness---really only one other property across the road.
