My first impression was a good one. The railroad has your bags delivered right to the place and the place did there best to arrange to get my bags to the bus I needed for the next destination. The restaurant would have been a nice pub were it not for the 4 people at outside tables were playing drinking games... more

The location is good, the views are great and they did pick us up from the train by shuttle, but the next day, my wife and daugter waited almost 2 hours to be picked up after spending the day on a shuttle bus in Denali Nat'l Park. The showers didn't work well with scalding hot then cold water without touching... more

After reading other reviews, I wish that we had read them before staying here. Everything that has been mentioned is true. The location is great, but the cabins are not just a cute, rustic place to stay. We had the same problem that others had with the shower...12 seconds of cold followed by 12 seconds of scalding hot. We spoke... more

Although, the view is good (there are plenty of places around there with just as good views) that was the about the only positive thing there. The showers kept alternating between freezing and scalding, so it was pretty much impossible to take a shower. You had to jump in and out during the freezing to take it. The water pressure... more

Spent two nights there. Room was a pre-fab log cabin built on skids. The building was so far out of level that it was hard to sleep without sliding out of bed. Toilet could not be used either of the t wo nights we stayed there due to a water supply problem from creek above the lodge. They use non... more

All rentals in Denali are expensive. Crow's Nest in July 2008 was $250 / night for a 1 room cabin and bathroom. Bathroom was clean. However, the cabin was on a 10 degree angle and our kids kept sliding sideways off the bed (with the bedding of course). On the second bed, we kept sliding downward throughout the night. The... more

Crow's Nest cabins are cabins with a twist. They were charming log cabins with GREAT views, electricity, private baths and even a TV. It was just the right degree of ruggedness for me. I didn't even mind lugging my heavy suitcase up a lot of stairs, because the view up there was fabulous. but.... Here is the word of warning=... more

I think we were the only people in Denali NOT on a tour! The Crow's Nest was perfect for us... it has a good restaurant with great local beers... the cabins were clean ane comfortable. The best part was how nice the people were that worked there! The guy who picked us up at the train station made us feel... more

First things first...if you're looking for luxury and pampering, go across the road to the Princess. These are cabins, folks, with all of the quirkiness and charm that staying in a "cabin" implies. That aside, we loved the Crow's Nest! The staff was great, the cabins comfortable, and the view (perched on a hillside overlooking the "village") awesome. Also, the... more

Just spent two nights at the Crow's Nest. Other than a friendly group of drivers on the shuttles and decent coffee in the office, I cannot find much else positive to say. We found it ironic that there was a "please help us conserve water" note in the room, but it took us literally 15 minutes of running the shower... more
